How do I grow short plants?

The height of my grow area is very limited and I need to figure out a way to keep my plants small like no more than 2' tall. Does the pot genetics determine height more than me or can I manipulate any strain to grow the height I want it to. Currently I am going from seed to plant should I be cloning a mother to keep height under control? (would cloning even help this problem?). I'm concidering purchasing Lowryder seeds to see if it helps. Any feedback on these seeds would be cool too.

When you veg your plants keep the light very close.

Heat causes stretching. So dont let it get hot in your space.

Change the light cycle when the plants get about 8"-10" tall.

You want to see a fairly thick stalk. If its puny it wont be able to hold up the buds.

Mothers are great to keep. Its assures you have females on hand anytime you want them.

I believe someone has a thread on lowriders on here. do a search and it should pop up.

how tall does ak48 get
You can control it around 3-3.5 feet but it can get up to 5-6. I suggest using bushmaster additive to help the plant bush out horizontally instead of growing taller.

Use it about 1 week after you are into flowering and it will stop growing vertically within 48 hours.

Just LST. Lowryder is a shitty shitty strain in comparison to other options, it's like reccomending big bud these days.

Anything can be kept short with proper training. ( I mean training the plant, not just the grower.)
