I'm on board with the molasses thing. I'm using BMO products and i hear that using molasses throughout the entire flowering cycle + the BMO products is a good thing to do. Feeds the lil bugs and micro-whatevers that live in the soil.
The only place I can find molasses is the supermarket. Grandmas brand, 12oz. for $3.79 That seems a bit much, who/where is a better source to get molasses? I checked Costco, can food store, I cant find the stuff anywhere. Any ideas? I know they use it for cattle feed, but not at $3.79 for 12oz.....

Teaspoon-per plant per gallon?
I thought 1 Tablespoon per plant per gallon.
2x12=24 i got 22 plants right now. that's 1 jar per watering. What is the correct amount to feed each week?

Thanks-

there is no exact amount to feed, ive heard of anywhere from 1 tablespoon up to 4 tablespoons per gallon. i use 2 tblspoons on mine, ive used it twice so far but my girls are just starting to bud. use it from start of flower up until a couple days before harvest.

Wow, growing a crop worth potentially thousands of dollars and you're worried about four bucks? You pay more than that in shipping for your nutes. LOL!

I use grandmas brand :hump:

I go overboard with it.3-6 tsp per gallon. Plants dont mind. Its carbs and sugar to make the flowers nice and fat. It sounds like you have great soil so those roots and the flowers will enjoy taking in carbs.

I payed same price its really not that bad.
Do you want the molasses effect on your plants or not?

Pay the 4$ bro, compare that to 50$ "bloom enhancers" that offer a similar result. Good luck :peace:

Cheap? It depends on how much your looking for, or how often you want to go out buying molasses.

Your on the right track with the cattle feed. Think of a place that sells bulk livestock feed, for cows, chickens, horses. Like a grain store. They have it by the 55 gal. drum, and you (usually) can walk out with the amount you want, much, much cheaper than $0.32 per ounce.

You want a ratio of molasses:nutrientsolution:water ........... one tblspn per gallon of water, per gallon of nutrient solution (considering you are using approx. 1 tblspn of nutes per gallon of water at the time) and slowly build amount of Mg Cal. and molasses as you build in nutes in feedings...... I only use molasses every other feeding unless its already in the nutes I use..... like bio bizz bloom (sea weed, and molasses :) )....... and flush every three or four weeks (not necessary if plants are in the ground)......

Walmart has it for like 2 dollars. I use 2 tablespoons per gallon...

Hope that helps....
Does walmart sell blackstrap molasses? That's the best kind to use. I've only been able to find it at health food stores and such for about $3-4 a bottle.

if you really want to be specific with your molasses. get horticultural molasses, its specifically made for plants. but i doubt it really works any better than the stuff were all using
