hey all, I'm sure this issue has been posted about before, but I want to get a poll on this about what people think weed is truly worth.

to me, I believe top quality bud is worth no more than 150 an oz.

but I would like to see medium to high quality bud for 50-100 an oz.

I'm just starting the thread on that note, I will explain why later on when I'm not tired and just now thinking of the thread.

so anyways I'm going to setup a poll and you guys vote on what you think the price for top-quality bud should be. and I don't think the prices should be jacked up just because someone wants to pay 10,000 dollars for their indoor setup that someone could achieve with less than 300 dollars.

anyways, let the discussion begin.

Buy larger quantities and good weed is $150 a zip. You just got to move your way up the ladder, obviously if you're buying quaters halfs and ozs you're not going to get the best price. Save up and it will save you money.

@yeah: this is a debate on how much weed should cost. . . . I have no intention of ever buying weed in my life unless the prices decrease 150%.

Marijuana SHOULD have no value bro. It comes from the fucking ground. The only reason it does have a value, is because our slave drivers ie the government prohibited it and forced it underground. Dupont, tobacco companies, alcohol companies, and another company i cant think of the name right now are the primary reason that it is still illegal. They funded all the fucking propaganda against a fucking PLANT, that has had sacred meanings from the beginning of time. Fuck the government, fuck the new world order.

That's great, but it's all economics. Supply and demand. No matter how bad the economy is people buy weed. There is always demand and the prices over recent years haven't changed much.

Always grow your own if you have that option. That way you can't bitch about prices because you're making money(if you want to). Just be compassionate and friendly, it isn't coke and there are no fiends. Just keep the business friendly.

I think good weed should cost $250-$280 a zip. 10 a g is a good deal if it's really good weed.

do you grow? what do you think it actually cost to grow an ounce?

with my set up, not considering the initial investment, i think growing an ounce will cost about $30 in electricity.
and then there's the incredible effort i put into it. i think i spend 6 hours per ounce, start to finish. so maybe $20/hour?
nutes.....maybe $10 an ounce?

so if i ever were to sell an ounce, which i never intend to, i think i would have to charge $160

granted my set up is grossly inefficient and people probably shouldn't be charged for that.

$300+ lol spot the guys in it for the coin, it should be the same price as tabbaco but that'll never happen. about $220-$240 here an oz so thats about $150 US and thats run of the mill, people dont buy in grade that i now of well theres 2 bush and hydro lol. As for quailty is just luck if its dirt weed or premo. I ussauly try and buy off small growers as the smoke is always premo, cured and not covered in honey or other bullshit which kiddies lap up. It's really sad to see it at this price but the good thing is it hasnt gone up in price in 10 years just the quailty has dropped to piss poor levels. I swear they dont even cure alot of the shit ive seen here, straight of the plant and in the bag.

I'm glad 5 people voted 150, but I"m disappointed 5 people voted 300+

I can't believe you guys actually believe that something that grows out of the ground is worth 300 dollars less than gold, which is 100 times harder to come by than marijuana.

seriously, the only reason this has happened like this is because it is illegal, those who sell for 300+ are taking advantage of a black market system, ripping off everyone.

they have no control, there's supply, there's demand, but theres NO competition.

rent on the room - $800 a month
clones to fill stadium - $660
nutrients for the grow - $100
electricity for 3 months - $600+
3 digital ballasts - $600
bulbs - $89 a piece


this doesn't include all the odds and ends plus my time. when i work i make 25 dollars an hour. my time in my garden is just as valuable.

grow me a pound of high grade indoor then come to me and sell it for 150 dollars an ounce. as much as i need. i will marry you. :hump:

no competiton? go look at the vendors line in front of the club tuesday at 11am. all the employees grow now so if you are an outside vendor you are pretty much forced to sell on the street. due to the competition. sorry. :cry::joint::joint:

it's legal here. for the most part. you can walk into a business and buy it. you would think the price would drop. nope. holding at the same old 50 - 60 an eighth. it costs what it does because that's how much i costs to grow it. not because of greedy thugs.

there are as many people who say "i would rather give it away then sell it" as there are that say the opposite. so why can't i find any free weed? :peace::joint::joint:

Actually, the main reason dispensiaries sell for that much is to keep people from buying it then sellin it on the black market.

really? i'm pretty sure they sell it for that much because they pay that much. if i go into a club with a pound of indoor and the offer me 1500 i'm walking out.

It's a plant.... it should grow freely and be given away freely ... it should be delivered to your door in the morning like milk, and shouldnt cost any more than milk... a kilo a day of free weed delivered to my door... now thats heaven
