Vancouver Seed Bank Kish or Shiskaberry

I was looking for djshorts blueberry when I went there but they were out so the girl behind the counter recommended Kish (formerly shiskaberry) from a breeder that goes by the name of Cash Crop Ken. I was a bit skeptical as this sounded like she was trying to unload some old stock on me. I knew they had a reputation of replacing seeds if they don't germinate and she said if I had any probs to come back. 10 seeds were $90 plus tax. I germinated 5 out of the 10 seed and checked em daily. after the 3rd day I was getting worried as no sign of germination but low and behold on the 4th day 2 had cracked and the 5th day 2 more but 1 did nothing so I just left it. The 4 seeds had now turned into nice little seedlings. A week after that I want to through the 5th seed away cause the paper towel had totally dried. What do you know there was a little white root poking out of the 5th seed so I potted it. It struggle to spout so I pulled the shell off by hand. Long story short all five Kish plants became lush flowering females and are now about 3 weeks away from harvest. Also I took 4 clones from each plant before I put then to flower thinking I would destroy a percentage of males. Only 1 clone failed to root so I got 19 clones ready for a scrog I am planning. It is a much taller strain than I expected but a very robust growing plant. I want to thank the Vancouver seed Bank for the recommendation. Now I just hope it is potent. If anyone has grown this strain perhaps you could let me know your opinions on its quality.

Ahh.. not to worried how long they take although I had to do some fancy dancing with all the clones in the flowering room. I took down one plant at 42 days and am just starting to smoke it. Taste of the mixed berry syrup at Ihop. :hump:

Please HELP! Yes, I am new here and came across this thread.. I am looking for Kish/shiskaberry seeds to be sent to the US. I cannot find anywhere that will send it to me here in the states. The only place that I can find that sells it is the Vancouver Seed Bank and it looks like they do not mail to the states. Is this correct?? I am so depressed and bummed out. I have such fond memories of this strain.

The first and only time I ever visited Canada was in 2003 and we absolutely loved it, hands down one of best places I have ever been. I was in the Navy and seen the world of over, too. We visited Vancouver and picked up some seeds and along the way we came across some Shiskaberry and it was amazing smoke. The taste and smell was unforgettable, infact, to this day I can still smell it. It had this sweet berry amazing smell. We returned and I purchased some seeds from Marc Emery at the time and received the seeds. All went amazingly well, huge yields, sticky frosted dense nugs of sweet candy syrup. I lost the strain during a move and ever since I have been looking for them and finally came across the Vancouver Seed Bank and they sell Cash Crop Ken's gear. However, it looks like they don't send to the states.. Do they mail to the states or does anyone know who will mail the Shiskaberry to the states here? I am in great need of my medicine! Thank you all for any information!

Hi Tex. I hear ya man. No respectable seed broker wants to ship to the states for fear they might be extradited and face serious jail time as the federal gov in the US is trying to do to Mark Emery now. Do you know and Canadians that could order for you and then re ship them?

Yeah, I completely understand that one! I cannot blame them for not wanting to send any seeds to us here. It is so sad!! I cannot even get my medicine..

Unfortunately, I do not know anyone in Canada. I sure wish I did! Great peoples and great places.. Well, maybe someday I can visit B.C. again and just pick them up and mail the back to myself. I don't know when that will be but hopefully sooner than later. Thank you for the information and if you ever pick up a pack and want to help a brother out, just pm me, plz..:peace:
