2 week old plants growing very nice on flor lights. 18/6 lights, this morning I went in to check on them and they are both down on their sides. Not standing up is obviously not good. 1st time trying nothing special but 3 floros in a closet. Are these plants dead or can I fix it?

I think they probabaly stretched and got weak, take a wire coat hanger and put it into the soil and bend the top of the wire so the plant fits in it and stands up. I would move your flouros down to an inch or 2 above the plants. Adding a fan should strengthin your stalks too

Thanks.......

I am going to try it now. They were doing so great! I hope this fixes the problem. I'll let you know.

I twisted the plants around the hanger to help it stand up. Will twisting the plant until it strengthens hurt anything? The lights were definately too far away, I hope that was the problem and these babies keep growing. They both were growing so great until this morning.

I watered them 2 days ago and then this morning after twisting the plant around thehanger. I stuck my finger in the soil and it felt wet. The top of the soil seems very dry quickly. I'll get a picture.

I put up the pictures of what I did to try and correct this. Is it possible to cut the plant at the lowest point and replant the stems? I also was curious about buying a good light...just 1.

Which light setup would be ideal for a closet. My dimensions are 4 ft length, 26 inch width, 8 ft high. Lights are expensive from what I see so what's the best option for a closet like this? I can't vent to the outside because of the location. Will the lights be too hot or what can I do to yield the best amount.

cut a straw down the middle and put it around your plant stm and shove it into the dirt, it will hold the plant up and put your light way closer to the leaves like an inch or two away. trust me

yes straw method is very good, get a fan first off or you will be dealing with this until the end. before you use the straw cut it to legnth from ground to first set of leaves. a little bit longer to stick into the soil. this worked wonders for all my plants, the straw will expand with the stem and not harm it. This is mostly quoted from moogie which gave me this idea.
