I'd like to be sure though. Then I'll run and get a few bags. But what about peat in it, pH etc?
How much vermiculite 50/50?

I was wondering mainly because it might be rich in peat. But actually I don't have a clue.

So do I.

I have plenty of questions regarding the security of growing in Eire, like what % of increase in electricity consumption is OK, where to buy equipment and seeds, which seeds are best in this climate. etc
There isn't a decent Irish forum, is there?

I was in Lidl today and saw bags of Bulrush "sterilized topsoil".

Is it the right soil to grow?
.
Petrushka..... Most bagged soils are sterilized to kill off bad bacteria & fungi. This soil will work, just mix in some well aged compost, perlite and peat moss or well rinsed coco coir fiber.
.
Your soil - 40 percent
compost - 20 percent
perlite - 10 percent
peat or coco coir - 30 percent
.
This will provide you with a soil that holds water & nutes, but drains well to. This is important to prevent root rot, from overly wet soil.
.
Hope this helps.....
