The word used for cannabis here, even in english news, is dagga... it has many racist connotations.

Its actually as simple as this!

Schwag (Low Grade)= Mexican Brick, Crappy Weed Or actually street weed, like from the lawn
Chronic (Med Grade)= Good weed, Not dense, more flower-like AKA Outdoor, regular, whatever basically
Kush (High Grade)= Nugget is a good name, indoor, lot-o-cristals, dense, smelly, tree like

Thats the basic scale, if you told some other BS then that is why they created the disp. system here in california, so you dont get screwed!

up here on the eastcoast we got shit weed thats 10$ for a dime "3 grams" of seeds lol..then u got MIDS still some pretty crapy bud 10$ for like 2-3 grams i havn't bought that shit since i was young...then theres KB "KIND BUD"..just some basic nuggets nothing to breag about 10$ a gram..last is EXOTICS,pretty much the best shit u can buy unless u grow it urself..but exotics is all the good strain buds..recently theres been blue berry haze,orange krush,AFgan kush,mango,and a few others..i dunno where its coming from but def. some good growers! 20$ a gram

mids= flame, fire or kind
high grad= dro or its strain name.

/around here all we got is regs mids or dro.
I laugh at the people with "Dro" and ask them what's so good about it. They tell me "It's hydro. Grown in the water." I usually laugh at them and show them the money and tell them I wanna sample it. It's usually some pretty fire weed, and I buy it but tell them they need a new name because to the experts dro don't mean shit.

Now, these are the names, but all there EVER is around here is "Reggie"... Once a yr or so you will see some "Mids" ( light green sensamilla that smells like pine ) but NEVER any "Dro" ( Purple Haze etc.. any weed with an actual name lol )

you get strain names.

you get price variance by the strain, and particular batch itself.

a shittier ounce of the same bud (less manicured, poorly treated) will cost you less..

the "poo poo" weed is "Regs"
the mediocre weed is just lesser quality good weed, so it comes by strain name..
And finally
the comercial dro is "beasters"

everyone around here is a consume-whore so we all need to know the strain name...cause if you aint sellin what we're buyin, we're joggin on elsewhere.

edit: just so its clear, the quality of the pot from worst to best goes from Regs, Beasters, Mediocre bud, Good bud.

Mersh(Dirt)-$10 a g. $20-25 an 1/8 $30-40 a 1/4
Killaz-$15 a g.
Dro (hydro)-$15-20 a g.
Mids-$10-20 a g.
Headies-$20-25 a g.
Kb(Kind Bud)-$20-25 a g.

then theres all the good strains (kush,haze,Jack herer, Northern Lights,white widow, ect...) that all vary in price.

Well here in nova scotia, around my parts, theres basically 2 kinds of weed, home-stone and hydro both 10 bucks a gram. Then theres also crappy shake, just leaves and stems, usualy get that for like $20 a bag. happy toking
