I just let them grow a bit like 1/4 to 1/2 inch in paper towel then put them outside to grow and water them so I think there on 12/12. Btw this is my first time.

no way, realy?!?!

um.... what does this mean? 1/4 to 1/2 of what? you're growing them in paper towels?

and my final answer.... some plants are starting to flower now, most have another month or so to go before they begin to flower.

How old are the plants? Can they even make it through the next few months without freezing where you are? Mine started flowering about a week ago in New Mexico, but it really depends on where you're growing if or when you will see buds. Lots of info is always a plus when you're asking a question about growing, otherwise you get a lot of questions instead of answers.

By 1/4 1/2 inch I meant I put the seeds in paper towel till the roots grew about that long then put it in dirt. And I am in Wisconsin so I still got a bit 'o summer left. Planted them a few days ago.

They will start to flower when they mature enough to withstand the task of flowering. You planted really late.

Ahhhh thanks! I have one big plant which turned out to have a brother recently and I'm still waiting to see what this one does. I thought I have seen a couple hairs but not sure but was wondering why it is taking so long.

I have four other plants only at 7" and 5 nodes and hoping they get a little more grownup before they flower. I'll probably top the sixth node.

Is it too late to worry about topping?

When they do start to flower are there lots of the little female preflowers all of a sudden or does it come on slowly?

As a rule, do Indicas or Sativas flower earlier or later than one another? I know Sativas take longer to ripen.

in my experience, sativas start sooner, indicas later. indicas seem to tolerate cold better too...

if you're going to top, i'd do it as soon as possible...

when they start to flower, you'll begin to notice small clusters of hairs at the tops. then there will be more and more and more.....

Indica is shorter, but flowers later.
Sativa is taller, starts earlier

mmmh... i would sign that indica grows short and bushy with fat leaves and it need less time to flower till finish and sativa is the opposite to that but this...:-? no.

How long does it take to bud after it has started flowering
"Bud" means the action of flowering or can mean the flowers themselves. So the question doesn't really make any sense.

If you mean how long after putting them into 12/12 do you see the first buds, anywhere between 6 and 21 days depending on the strain and how old the plant is.

Whats 12/12 ?
12/12is the light cycle. whene in veg the plant has a full or nearly constant light supply. then whene u want buds u cut the lights to 12 hrs. of light and 12hrs of darkness. go to the newbie forum, itll teach ya everything ya need ta know. :joint:
