Is it possible for a plant to have buds that contain 80%+ THC trichomes, or is this just rediculous? And if not, why hasn't someone figured out how to multiply the amount of trichomes on a plant?

it's biologically impossible to have thc higher than probably 45%. I mean, there has to be over 50% plant matter otherwise the damn plant couldn't grow.

THC isn't soluble in water you know ;)

80%+ THC ... That's called really good hash!

Plant's rarely produce more than 22% THC with the current hybrids, growing methods etc. ... The way to get more THC per cone than that is to make hash!

Technically there is no plant on this earth that has over 1% THC content. All the numbers everywhere are completely false and if you actually stripped every trichome off your bud you would find the weight of them does not come out to any more than 1% but even the trichomes themselves are not 100% THC or even 50% so far less than 1% of the weight of any plant or bud is THC.

Everything you have ever heard about percentages is a flat out lie. Who knows how it started, and now people just keep adding on to those original base numbers by some arbitrary ranking.

I actually remember reading about that somewhere, but do you have any supporting evidence to back your claim out? or better yet does anyone have any evidence to show that the current percentages are correct?

It could be a definition thing, maybe it is not a percentage of weight but rather the percentage of THC compared to other active substances in Marijuana.

Thought those percentages were measuring levels of cannabinoids (such as THC, CBN and CBG) within the trichomes, not as a percentage of the total plant ... When they test the cannabinoid levels, they're not testing the entire plant to see which percentage of that plant is pure THC, that would ridiculous, and hugely inaccurate.

The test they are talking about is a test of active chemical substances in the trichs.

I think people are getting their definitions confused somewhere...

Well when you are talking percentages of things it's not normal to say you're only counting a percentage of a percentage of the whole. Especially since we are already not counting anything but the bud.

Rather than saying some killer weed is 20percent thc (which it isn't) it would have been more accurate to include the plant material and say it was .05 percent THC.

Plus then maybe it wouldn't sound so deadly to the opposition. :)

you wont get exactly 100% thc but you can get pretty darn close with something called "keaf"

keaf is formed when using a triple chamber grinder. when you grind your weed, you can open the very bottom chamber and find that there is small bits of what appears too be dust. this is the keaf.
you dont get keaf from regular. you need good stuff. additionally, keaf requires you to grind much weed, like a few grams of really dank shit, just to make like 1 gram of keaf.

lol you're still at like 40-50% with that kief . . . . as stated above, the entire trichome isn't thc, only a certain % of it.
