Exactly why we need a VA type of medical. One that eliminates the middlemen, HMOs and Insurance companies that would let you die for 50 cents. Like I said, if you want fancy doctors, you can pay, but if you have a life threatening illness, medical will be provided an no expense to you at the time, no more losing your home to the medical profession so some fancy doctors and HMO-CEOs can drive Porsches .

The VA.....Well maybe better than no care:) I do not use them and I could. So I would be a bit of a hypocrite.

I have a good health care plan, Teamsters retiree medical. I use them for things like skin cancer checks, any flu or cold symtoms and anything that would be considered an emergency. I have a 3.00 copay for primary care and a 10.00 copay for specialists care. My wife also has this medical and it includes dental and optical. Most people would die for this kind of medical insurance. I see people at my primary care office with as much as a 50.00 co-pay. I use the VA so I won't be dropped out. My retiree plan could be taken away at any time, in this economic climate one never knows. The company I retired from had around 350 drivers when I retired, now there are less than 80, that means there are that many less paying in, so I can expect a cut at any time. Hence me keeping VA active.`

Did anyone notice the disporportional amount of pork Anchorage Alaska got? 7 pieces on that page alone. Palin must be doing her job alright. One would think the repukes would slice a little thinner on that state after the bridge to nowhere, but as usual, a repuke governed state didn't get any cuts.
I guess that there was a mono rail from LA to Vegas?

Sweet, Govt subsidized I gather, like Amtrac?

This isn't a stimulus package, folks ... this is a socialistic want-list and is being passed, as usual, by using fear tactics.

There are already signs that the economy is starting to recover. Foreclosures were down 10% in January. The amount of borrowing at the Fed was down as well, which means private enterprise is borrowing from private banks again. You'll find this information on page three of your local newspapers.

I think we really need to give Obama a little more time.
just how much time is needed before y'all can see the writing on the wall? when he tried to fill his little fiefdom with thieves, lobbyists and insiders, didn't you wonder what this "change" was all about? isn't a "stimulus package" filled to the rafters with pork and little favors for his friends a pretty good indication of what he has in store for us? under the "progressive" banner this government is solidifying the welfare state and corrupting the last vestiges of the constitution.

their excuses for failure are ready-made. even though the liberal establishment has dug us into this hole, the blame is easily laid at the feet of the last administration and it is a simple task for the minions of the nanny state to convince the masses that this is all a failure of conservative ideology. as if conservatism has had any real voice in government for decades.

Yeah, well the governator of Nv. is a repuke and so is Ca.'s, go figure. The good thing is it will put to work hundreds if not thousands and for about ten years and when completed, all those idiots from Ca. can get on a train and be here in a little over an hour. They'll be nice and rested and can stay out longer, giving our state all their money. Sweeeeet. About 175 miles of track in Ca, and only about 50 miles in Nv. They ought to do mag-lev, but that bitch would bust the bank.

sorry, but we're just about bankrupt over here. by the time we finish paying for the medical and dental for millions of illegals and the myriad do-nothing social programs the left has inundated us with, we won't even be able to play the nickle slots. as the socialist agenda continues to raise our taxes to outlandish rates, our businesses will fold or leave and the economy will be driven further and further underground. living here is fast becoming a bigger gamble than roulette.

I think you should look to the Bush regime and the unfettered capitalism that has bankrupted the country, but, we'll take your nickles gladly. I'll bet the round trip price of a train ticket will be less than the 2 tanks of gas that gas guzzling SUV will take to make the trip, especially if gas goes back up over the 4.00 range. Jump on board and bring your bag of nickles, Veghas always welcomes the dumb ass gamblers, of all persuasions, the sports betters, poker players and slot players all the way up to the whales that bring a few million bucks of credit line with them.
I remember when this Chinese billionaire was about 6 million bucks ahead, and he headed to the airport to get in his chartered jet, guess what, the "Jet had a problem" and the hotel offered him the kings accomodations to stay an extra day while repairs were made. The dummy stayed and gave back the 6 million and lost 3 million more. Tell me that wasn't a rigged deal.
Me, I'd of hopped the first first class flight back to China or hired another jet to get me out of town, heck, even a limo ride to LAX couldnt have been that expensive, barring that, I'd of just bought a new corvette and made it to LAX and left it parked in long term parking and given one of my minions a ticket from china to LAX to have a vacation with the corvette and then sell it and return.

The bad thing is, you can't even live off the land anymore to survive. If you try to do that, the tax man comes to collect property tax. It doesn't matter what you try to do to survive, someone's hand is always in your pocket.
