They're still working on it, I think the house approved it, but now the senate needs to approve it.

well folks, it seems it has been passed by the senate, just as we knew it would be. filled with huge amounts of pork and a general reinforcement of the welfare state, this sorry piece of legislation merely awaits the messiah's signature to begin digging us a little deeper into our collective grave.

I saw that they passed it, yippy skippy we'll now get an extra 13 dollars a week in our paycheck, that's going to really help us stimulate the economy. Can I take my 52 dollars a month and run out and buy a new car? Nope.......... fuckers........

The only way giving money to anyone will work is if they give it to the American people.Give every household $30,000 and watch us spend it.Let the banks get their money back from us, by being able to pay our loans back on time.I own my house so i do not need to worry like alot of people.

Now they're bitching because people are saving their money instead of spending it. I don't see how they can expect citizens to run out spending when we all can clearly see that when the going gets tough, those who receive million dollars bonus checks get the help. The average person gets the shaft.
If they gave my household $30,000 we would spend it, we'd buy a new car, for cash, no bank loan, our current car is 10 years old with nearly 150K miles on it.
We would probably spend at least half of the leftover money on random shit, which would also stimulate the economy.
Stimulating huge corporations so they can in turn stimulate their personal bank accounts was a piss poor plan.

i heard they could have given $10,000 to every american family instead of this epic bill

Did anyone notice the disporportional amount of pork Anchorage Alaska got? 7 pieces on that page alone. Palin must be doing her job alright. One would think the repukes would slice a little thinner on that state after the bridge to nowhere, but as usual, a repuke governed state didn't get any cuts.

Maybe, Maybe not. I think we really need to give Obama a little more time. His plate is overflowing with the bush leavings. Once he gets the economy on the rebound (Hopefully) he can tackle some of the other huge problems. I an watching closely as is the rest of the world. This man (Obama) has taken on a humongus task. I think we need to support him as the repukes are trying to make his job impossible. I don't know why, the repuke and Bush regime policies only got us more and more fucked. It seems they might want to try something new instead of trying to tax cut us out of the hole. We all can see how well it worked under Bush, eh?

It seems the more one makes, the more one hates taxes. I think if I made a million a year and only got to keep 300K, I'd be living the high life and not pissed off at all, of course having never made that much money, I really don't know how I'd feel, I just know that 300K a year clear would make my life much more palatable.
