one example i will use is the couple of posts saying that foil doesnt cause hotspots...reading these guys posts its obvious they have no comprehension of what a hot spot is..therefore how can they dissprove it?

btw...a hot spot is a pocket of air in the grow room hotter than the rest caused by the reflective material not distributing the reflected light properly...not tiny little light lasers burning holes in your plants....

Smoking the top of a male plant is probably like smoking the bottom of a female plant before it goes into flower.

MYTH: Growing weed for profit is a good idea.

FACT: Growing weed just long enough to be able to actually save a bit of money so that you can invest in a LEGAL business plan ... and then just growing for personal ... is a much better idea.

MYTH: Marijuana is from outerspace.

FACT: Marijuana is native to the planet earth, all other life was evolved from a single cell organism that crashed into the ocean from a meteor.

MYTH: Plants cannot react quickly.

FACT: I've personally felt a plant 'prick out' its cystolith hairs in response to being brushed against, maybe it thought i was going to eat it.

i would like to think that when a female gets pollenated it does not stop producing thc, but i don't know how to prove it. could i get some back up on this, or somebody set me strait.
well think about it, does a woman stop producing eggs when she gets pregnant? i think the plant stops producing thc but hold on to the thc it had when she gets pollinated.

So it won't get u high
MYTH: Immature buds won't get you high.

FACT: Even males (and the fan leaves off of them) can get you high. I'd prolly rather smoke the fan leaves off of some White Russian than some buds off of low grade Mexican. THC is present at a very early age and the THC percentage climbs a very steady and gradual slope throughout vegetative and flowering growth. Generally speaking potency is as follows: Large top buds off of females, smaller side buds, then bottom buds, followed by top leaves, middle leaves, then bottom leaves from the growing tips, followed by fan leaves top to bottom. Since male plants lack the female buds, their potency begins in the 'leaves' categories.

It's nice to see someone knows the truth about leaves being able to get you high, most continue to insist that a plant in veg has no thc. They do from about week two on.

And hot spots do not even exist for all the folks using cfl's and other small lights, there's no way those people could ever have a problem with foil other than extremely poor performance. You couldn't create a hotspot worth mattering even if you used mirrors and focused more light to one area, that area might just grow better is all.

I have one that tons of people will shit all over probably.

Myth: Mylar is superior to flat white paint

Fact: Flat white Paint is superior to mylar except under optimal conditions, and even still it has so many drawbacks it fails to be worth the tiny tiny tiny reflective gain over paint.

Unless you pull mylar perfectly tight so it's not all wrinkled it isn't even better brand new and perfectly clean.

Then part of the problem with mylar is that is gets so dirty so quick and easy and is difficult to clean up to say the least so many don't keep it clean often enough to truly keep it better than paint.

Because mylar provides a space for critters to breed and hide from your sprays, it's not worth it.

Because mylar blocks airflow it can trap moisture between itself and the walls of your grow. It can actually encourage mold issues because of that and the fact you aren't getting behind it to clean and disinfect as often as you should.

With paint, it's very easy to slap on a fresh coat at any time, between every couple grows or whenever needed, and that fresh coat is a great way to not only keep your grow as EVENLY reflective as possible but seal in any spores, fungus, mold, whatever that might have escaped your cleaning. It is easier to repaint than it is to disinfect and clean a room with mylar by a large margin.

White paint can never hotspot, period. Your growth will be more even in the room provided your lights are arranged well.

The ideal paint (or at least one of them) is Behr Ultra Pure White flat wall paint. Never use a gloss, and be careful of anything other than a paint made to be this pure white. Paints that aren't perfectly pure white will not reflect the spectrums of light you are using properly, and could turn usable light into unusable light just by skewing the color even the slightest amount.

You made my mind up on that shit. I tried poly. It would have been easier to paint and caulk now that I think about it.

Not really. Males will get you high, yes, if you are a lightweight. They have so few trichomes on them you really need to harvest hash from them, don't try to just smoke it you would have to smoke far too much plant material to be practical. If it's a big enough plant you can get a decent little amount of hash and then it will really get you stoned like normal.

Look up the ice/water hash making method as in bubble hash.
