I lived it. Even thought about filing a restraining order. I ignored it and it finally went away after a couple years. Over ten years later and I still get calls where I can hear someone breathing on the other end of the line but they never say anything. The number shows up as private on my caller ID. Pretty sure it's the same thing calling. I heard through the grapevine that it's still talking about me so I'm pretty sure it's still out there obsessing. Kind of freaks me out.
hehehehehehe

I love breathing in phones

1. The "new" Rolli banned me for my conservative views. Typical intolerant Twitter type censorship from the far left it twas. The "old" Rolli and I were good friends. He was open minded, accepted view points other than his own. We chatted often in the old days.

2. Every cannabis forum has a jerk who has stolen my old handle.

I really didn't mean to register here, actually thought I was at ICMag. That's what you have to look forward to when you get old - the "aw shit"s. Trust me, "the Golden Age" is bullshit. Take care of yourself which means a good diet, exercise, and having a good positive mental attitude.

If I do stick around here I have no plans to waste my time at your Politics forum. I doubt if anything has changed in 18 years at that place.

I'd just change my number.

okay lets move off from politics, cause ultimately it needs to stay there and we are not there.

things have changed since uh Sept 9th 2022,

You dont need to go into politics you can ignore the majority of the users there and they wont show up elsewhere because they mostly stick to politics and so you wont see politics in new posts if that's your concern. t

there is alot of i got turtled or banned for this and that
alot of speculation and assumptions over rollitup in general about content etc, that are incorrect

I recommend people not speaking for the site Rollitup with baseless claims. it never works out well. if you got a question dm me, im the source you can hear it straight from my mouth instead of getting wrong info

I know speaking of myself if i get a chance to voice my side alot of users will claim that people have unfairly moderated them maybe thats true for some, but majority of the time you dont get turtled or banned for no reason. there is usually a reason.

Lets leave it at that cause if we keep going off topic into politics ima have to shut it down for a cool down
i dont wanna do that

just dm me if you have questions (nicely please no accusations)

Hey all, If it really is the famous Uncle Ben here responding on this forum, woo hoo ! Glad to meet you in person.

I'm new to this hobby and know that after 3 grows, there is no way I know everything. In fact, the more I learn the more I realize I have to learn. (if that makes sense)

Uncle Ben seems to have been in the game for a long time. I will say that he could tone down his negativity a bit, but I understand his frustration. The new comer "know it alls" have to be super annoying. Growing is a learned skill that takes time and from what I've read, he's put the time in.

Photography is a good example of a hobby that many new comers are jumping into. They buy the latest greatest camera with all the bells and whistles and think they are automatically a talented photographer. Wrong answer, Photography requires skill and understanding of light, composition, etc., that takes years to learn. The camera is simply a tool and without understanding how it works, your photos will be poor. I have a feeling the useage of nutrients is very similar.

From what I've read from Uncle Ben, he's been trying to teach people to understand what the plant needs, not just dumping a bunch of "Boutique" concoctions onto your plants...

And maybe I can get a question in and an answer from the great Uncle Ben...

I'm growing Northern Lights, which produces a lot of leaves early flower.. Most of my feed charts reduce the useage of Nitrogen greatly after flipping 12/12. My hunch is that Nitrogen is needed well into flower and a lot of my yellowing early is due to lack of nitrogen. So, this grow, I'll keep the grow nutrients going a little longer into pre and early flower.... (Foliage Pro used lightly). Am I way off base here? Hey, I'm actually using my head to think about this stuff and learn... I think that's what Uncle Ben wants.

You dont need to taper off of N as much as people lead you to believe. I used to x it right off in flower and by week 4 my leaves would be bad looking piss yellow abominations and by chop they'd be necrotic and dead, I start tapering off around week 3 and by chop theyre much better looking , I grow in hydro so your mileage my vary a bit though as a far as timing goes..

You dont need Ben for that one.. General purpose feed works fine start to finish.
If you really feel the need to follow the directions, ignore the switch at 12/12 and wait till stretch slows and actual flowering starts

Gotcha, exactly what I was thinking. Thanks !

Here she is, a newbie's attempt at mainlining. I'll be tying down the two end chutes and flipping to flower soon. Dont laugh, I know she's small for her age, but I think the frame of the plant is coming along nicely.... Grow space is limited or I'd let her veg longer.

Get rid of the small inside new growth. The goal of Mainlining is the Mains.

Am honored to me you sir.

You're on the right track regarding nutrition. If you need to increase N during flowering then do it. Ignore the "advice", read your plants.

It's leaves that the provide carbos for flower production. Support that unit unit during the entire cycle and you'll be fine.

Another myth, flushing. Don't bother.

Good luck,
Uncle Ben

Good job on using a root tip pruning system, your pots. Been using them for decades beginning with Griffin's Spin-Out, RootMaker pots including fabric and now will try MicroKote for my next grow of indicas.

I have very large citrus, mango and avocado trees growing in RootBuilder, bottomless pots. Not practical for indoor growers though.

Hey man you were talking about upgrading lights the other day. Just thought I'd let you know, HLG is having a Black Friday 25% off sitewide sale from 11/25-11/28.

Thanks. Think I'm going for this one. I've researched this stuff to death with the videes, par values charting, etc. Actually it's a toss up with this and the HLG 600R spec on sale for $521. HLG is heavy in weight and doesn't have the outbound light distribution that the ViparSpectra KS5000 does nor can you mount the driver 10' away. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MTSY9G2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1BSXM5KIS5MZE&psc=1
