I plan on flowering my plants in the next couple weeks and want to know if there's anyway without using ferts to get my plants to bush out some more. I just tied them down, planning on doing LST the entire grow. I have my plants on a 17/7 lighting schedule and the ph is perfect. Currentl;y it has 8 nodes and is about 8 inches tall. I am going to start using ferts as soon as I start to flower, but they already have blood and bone meal in the soil. Any of you guys know I way I can make my plant a little taller/bushier in the next 2 weeks.

flower them now, in the first 2 weeks of flowering they explode with growth and you WILL get what your looking for.. provided you gave them proper pot space.. (3-5 gallons) and the nurtients have not run out.

Well the thing is I don't want to flower yet, they're only at 4 weeks. I wanted them to get a little bigger so that their yeild potential will be increased as well.

If you have a local nursery, you may be able to find Bonide Tomato Blossom Set Spray. The hormone kinetin in it will cause more side branching by releasing the nodes from apical dominance. I use it in all my grows, I usually do SOG but I like to take clones from each grow (if using a different strain) so I use it to give me the branches I need for cuttings.

I would suggest that you deliberately STRETCH them. Read up on Preventing STRETCHING and do the opposite. I did on one of three plants and I am very glad I did and I wish I had done all three. Just raise the lights for 4 days, and make them REACH up or STRETCH toward the lights.
THen, PUT THE LIGHTS ON THEM, AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AFFORD.

I would suggest that you go to a 24/0 lighting schedule. As it is, yer passin up on over 2 full days (24 hours) of light per week on a 17/7 schedule. (49 hours)

Oh...and I'd transplant into my final pot 2 weeks prior to flipping to 12/12.

good luck

If you need more bushy plants add SWEET this will double bud sites on every strain. these plants need more than food they need amino acids and carbo love too.

Well I did end up topping and now my plant is filling in like crazy. I plant on leting it veg for another month before flowering since I'm gonna go on vacation and don't wanna flower before that. btw does anyone know where I can get a timer that would turn on only twice a week? I have heard of digital timers that do this. I'd like to use one for my watering schedule.

Timers

I just got this one in today (2nd from the bottom $18.99). Starting to flower immediately. So far so good.

You can save 8 different programs on this one. Turn on/off as you like.

Sweet is a good additive also spray them with nitrozime it promote more bud sites and flowering at excelearted rates.Dont for get most plants double or triple in size once flowering. I veg my clones for 10 days to 12-14 inches and finish at about 42 inches.

Well my clone only had 3 nodes and those nodes were fucking TIGHT so it'll be awhile before the mother or the clone is at 12-14 inches.

Well guys, she's getting pretty bushy since I topped, and I started adding molasses. Since it contains alot of the same carbs as sweet and carbo load. I will look at nitrozime and anything with kinetine in it for more bud sites, thanks guys. PS. Take a look at my journal(chrystal) and leave your opinion on how she looks please. Much appreciated.
