Now that I think about it.. I'd like to do a strain hunter expedition and find real, unbastardized 80's weed genetics.. I imagine that the northern parts of mex have a lot of the hybridized genetics we have in the USA, but I'm sure that in small towns there must be abandoned fields of what I'd call "Dad weed"... That's more my speed..
I just grew off a crapload of landrace Colombian Gold and it's the real deal. I could not be happier. I think the people that say the newer weed is "so much better" are full of crap; I haven't gotten anything but mids (buying) in the last few years except for the dispensaries in Alaska. My Colombian Gold is twice as good.

Those that stay up all night waiting on some drop of Super Cherry Power Punch Cookie Kush for $30 a seed would never believe you.

I was a kid in the 80's
Early 90's I paid £15 an eight of soap bar, some were more like playdo and others like a brown block, skunk was £25 an eight, and it was still damp, more stem than bud had to dry it out before smoking

The last load of brick we brought up here was around 1990 and it was shit lol. By then there was consistently good indoor coming out from the Asians and it just wouldn’t sell. The hash (black) started drying up around then as well, Montreal was loaded with it before that. Spent many days on the road back then ............... so much fun it was :).
