What amazes me most is how science/health care has been politicalized. You have rational people making irrational decisions because some guy with no chance of winning had to mix it up in the interest of “looking for votes” and told them lies all the while, taking the best health care possible himself. Insane to me.

Please move to a country that wants you :leaf::finger:
Don't people need permission to travel though? I'm not big on asking permission from slave masters.

Also, "countries" in the political sense aren't real in that they have a common like or dislike of individuals. You've fallen prey to propaganda.
Please treat people as individuals and live where you want to.

Natural immunity against a disease your body has never experienced?? What, are you like the Henrietta Lacks of COVID?
The immune system has broadly 2 components, natural immunity and acquired immunity. Natural immunity is the body wiping out anything that doesn’t belong there regardless of whether it recognises it or not. Acquired immunity is antigen recognition either via antibodies or if too much time has elapsed via memory cells which then trigger antibodies.
So you are right because natural immunity is a feature of childhood and diminishes with age which is why covid is more problematic as age increases. For people over 50 to talk of their natural immunity to covid belies their ignorance.

One of my cousins was telling me another cousin who works in health care was telling him that there is no need for masks. Everyone should just wash their hands. He doesn't seem to be stupid, so it has to be purely politics.

Does this cousin who "works in healthcare" perform surgeries, or clean floors and toilets?

Just sayin. People believe the weirdest sources nowadays.

Some of the confusion as to mask efficacy was based on science relating to post surgical infection rates of open wounds, did surgeons need to wear masks while operating?
The results were equivocal in conclusion, however the science doesn’t extend to the transmission of aeroslised virus within a respiratory virus pandemic.

Oh ok, I stand corrected, I just assumed the confusion was due to idiots being idiots….. ya I still do lol.

The way this thing is going through communities here I guess it helps but I fear it’s inevitable that we will all get it at some point …. Hope im wrong :(. My community has the highest per capita case rate in Canada :(.
Uhh, not true. You don't have to catch something for it to go away. Did you get you some AIDS in the 80s or 90s? --me either. Get left out of the Swine Flu craze? --yeah me too, but I'm not bitter about it. I didn't even catch West Nile virus, but somehow that's no longer a concern around here.
