A question of trust.

Okay, here is the deal. I have heard from my cousin that my new partner is planning a surprise visit on the 12th Dec to stay for the weekend. So far I've been very good and no one knows about my grow (except you lovely people). The grow is situated in my bedroom and it isn't something that could be hidden when the lights are on. Question is do I trust her, harvest 10 days early or plan c (I'm open to suggestions). I'm fairly certain she would be cool with it but I'm not sure I could trust her not to talk. People have a horrible habit of talking in my experience.

Now over to you people. What would you do in my situation?

First light up in front of her and see what her reaction is.

And as for a plan C, What kind of space you working with, and where is the light showing from?

honestly your caught in a bad situation man, i would just tell her that she isnt allowed in your room for the stay due to reasons you cant explain. also be sure to control the smell so she doesnt figure it out that way, your right about people having a horrible habit of talking so make sure she has nothing to talk about

Maybe you should tell her the apartment is being fumigated or something, or just say you're going to be out of town that weekend.

The space is my closet which unfortunately needs to be kept open a crack for temperature control. With the mylar sheeting and a 400w HPS it is very difficult not to notice in my room; especially considering how minimalistic it is. Smell control is good at the moment through how it will fair once further into flower is anyones guess. I'd hope at worst I'd just need to light a few incense sticks in the later stages.

Another thing to maybe note is that I will be closing up shop on this property once this grow has finished. So the real question is, how much damage can she do in 10 days plus drying/curing.

You'd be surprised, people do stupid things for stupid reasons.

Um i'd say before you guys go in your room shut the door, and cover the light coming out of the cracks then once you leave out, re-open it up.
Just hang a blanket over the door, and put one over the bottem crack then do your thing and get out :D

Or hide those suckers, or don't go in your room with her. All the more reason to get buck naked and do it right at the front door. After you close the door of course.

I'd get rid of them before she came ,, rule # 1, dont let anyone know about your grow

I must admit I'm very reluctant to let anyone in on my little secret. I never thought of hiding them. They're auto flowering so perhaps upsetting the light cycle won't hurt too much so late into the flowering cycle. Fingers crossed that the weather won't be too bad so I can put them outside for a couple of days.

I just want to say thank you for the input everyone. :)

Very stealth. Its tough as hell too! Indoors I grow in the basement, or "the man cave" she never visits. Summer, I grow in a trash can lined with foil, SCROG.

Tell Her you got Fleas in your room somehow, so you had to put off a bunch of bug bombs. Sleep on the couch...

She is recovering from being "addicted" to the stuff, so its better for her if she doesnt know. She even told me once "if you grow it I dont want to know about it"
