iso/ethyl hash?

i hope i'm not asking a retarded question with my first post...

i did a quick search and couldn't find an answer though.

I've read a lot about making iso hash with male plants, but what I'm wondering is does it have to be isopropyl alcohol? would ethyl alcohol work? reason being, i can't seem to find any isopropyl alcohol locally above 70%. however, i have a friend who is also of the DIY mentality that i can get some 95% ethyl alcohol from.

thoughts?

first, just to let you know bro, its not gonna be hash, itll be similar to hash oil. N second, I couldnt tell you for sure if Ethyl alcohol would work, because i dont know how well it evaporates. Ive made Iso Hashoil a couple times, and the iso method works (to an extent - the quality of the hashoil is really shitty for the most part, but it does get you high. I was left with a headache a couple times that ive smoked it,lol), but im sorry to say that i dont know jack squat about ethyl alcohol bro, sorry.

Use Butane instead, get big cans from the smoke shop and inject into a tube with crushed trimmings. Makes nice honey oil. Instantly liquefies any Trich/THC material.

yes it will work. The trouble with either ISO or Ethyl alcohol is it strips the chlorophyll out making for a foul tasting product.
Butane is a greenhouse gas BTW so your extraction with that has an environmental impact in case you care
A 3rd & 4th option are Hexane & Naphtha . These solvents do not strip the chlorophyll and leave you with a golden honey oil. Pure Naphtha is hard to find because it has a rust inhibitor mixed in it. Pure Hexane is used for extracting oil from vegetable seeds so there is a pure source for that. It's also used as a paint solvent so some bigger paint stores will stock that what I don't know is what purity it comes in but I'm going to give it a try anyways.

Ethyl alcohol is the alcohol you drink (though if it is at that % it will be denatured with a puking agent added so it is tax free). It will work but it boils at 78.5C, if memory serves, so it'll take AGES to evaporate. I think a clean butane as the others are suggesting will be your best bet.

Yeah the butane is nice because it rapidly boils at room temperature and only takes a few mins for every ounce of it to evaporate out.

Anyone who says iso isnt good isnt doin it right. I use only 91% and some crappy mid grade buds and I still get some really goodamber sap out of it along with blonde and tan hash., but im also tryin to find out if ethyl would work any better. Ive been told it evaps cleaner but im not sure.
