all you got to do is find a type of bb gun that has a magazine that slides out that holds the co2 and the bbs. actually i think this is a airsoft gun. anyways thereis a valve on the top ofthe magazine that conects to the barrel when the magazine is in the pistol. just take out he seal in that valve! then all you got to do is tighten the co2 real slow so it barely punctures it and it will leak out real slow!
there you go just put the co2 in ur closet and close the door!

Or ya could just do that with a whipit craker :blsmoke:

Gets a flashback from 10 years ago.

"Wawawawawawawa" lmao!!!

Just to bad it would take a few of them to get a room to 1500-1800 ppm (a few meaning you dont do any for yourself in between that is :D

you could use the co2 tanks that are for paintball guns too, you can get large tanks and fill em at the paintball store for cheapish. It's not economical though, or very effective.

Any effectively ventilated grow will be swapping all the air in the grow space every 3 minutes i think is the rule of thumb. To maintain a constant 1200-1500 ppm c02 from preassurized tanks in even a small room would require large 5 foot tall tanks swapped consistently.

That being said, to me, some seems better then none, so i have used yeast/sugar. Certainly any extra c02 can't hurt, but i wouldn't pay cash for the tiny ammount in co2 cartridges or keyboard cleaner. Not 50 days of flowering worth lol.

Yeah there used to be some called Dusters. Those were fun lmao At the time they were only like $4 a can, after a while they did something that took the "fun" stuff out of it :cuss:

My closet isn't too bad its 5'x5'x8' a 20lb tank will last 2 months, and thats if I set it to run for 8 times a day going for 4.30 minutes each cycle. Its a little smaller then a small room though, Still though I agree I wouldn't use those cans or cartridges either lol

I am a little new at this, been reading about Co2 lately, I thought between 1500-1800 ppm was good?

yeah i didnt mean the big setup isnt worth it, just that as we both said, the small cartridges and such are useless.

ive seen 1200-1800 quoted but i think the more reliable sources say 1500 to 1800 as you say. I did however think that it had to be a constant saturation that would make the big difference, not just little bursts, unless you turn the fan in your grow room off when u release co2?

because a fan would clear the c02 out of the room very quickly, thus wasting much of the co2. And c02 isn't that cheap is it, i dont know? i know you can get the big cannisters refilled at welding shops, but i also read people get caught that way fucking constantly.

Yes thats what I intend on doing, set a timer to turn them off for 20 minutes, each cycle to run Co2 is 4.30 minutes, going to give the Co2 15 minutes to satchurate then after 15 minutes fans turn back on. Just gonna set the fan timer for 20 minutes a cycle.

And c02 isn't that cheap is it, i dont know?
In my area it costs $20 for a 20lb refill (20lb tank will last me 2 months If I set the cycles for 4.30 minutes 8 times a day :D)

Yeah, the fans will be off for 20 minutes when the Co2 goes off. To fill my room 1800 ppm it will take 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Leaving roughly 15 minutes to let the Co2 soak into the plants then the fans turn back on when the timer goes off.

Think I should keep the fans off longer? I'm using a 400w ML conversion bulb for veg and 400w HPS for flower, didn't want it to get too hot in there its only a 5'x5'x8' room

Fermentation makes co2. Get a 2 Liter bottleand fill it 1/2 with warm water. Add a cup of sugar and 2 packs of yeast. It will make co2 for weeks and you wont get busted buyin yeast and sugar.

Do you just constantly let it release 24/7? Should I turn my fans off for a short time during day? What PPM does it give? Sorry for the Q's

Its alot cheaper then buying an injection system and like you mentioned and others before its safer :D

co2 is use for alot of things not just growin, welding, kegs of beer, those drink things at pubs, fish tanks, so why would u get busted????

co2 tank, a heated reg and timer, is all thats need. cheap as chips

p.s yeast and sugar is for brewing piss, so unless ya a piss head i dont see the point, plus it not controled in any way.

fair enough jeff, i stand corrected, i had understood it was a major hassle refilling. I was at one point linked to a site specializing in c02 for grow rooms and there was a calculator showing how much u needed based on size of room and exaust fan speed. It showed you needed way too much for it to be worth it in small grow op. But it certainly wasnt taking into account turning off the exaust fan. So as long as you don't run into heating problems then that would work. There's probably a diminishing return in that at a certain point leaving the fan off for longer will increase heat in room so much that the extra heat will take away more then the extra time will add.
