Wondering if they are running TIM under that spider board ..... I gutted some old Mars shit just to see what it made it tick .
Found microfinned heatsink and sloppy toothpaste looking TIM globbed ( not spread ) .

I've been running my SF 1000 in veg 18/6 for about 7 months now and no issues. I think you just ended up with a lemon.

Update for yall. The wonderful Stella emailed me yesterday and said they would send me a replacement if I took my negative review down off Amazon. Lets see how long this takes. :wall:

That doesnt sound like very good after sale service to me.

Taking a picture should have been enough but now they wont send a new one unless you remove a bad review. After you get the new light I would write another bad review and keep it up so people are warned.

How fucking shit is that.

The company will replace only if you remove the negative feedback.

So in other words, they do pump out shit boards here and there but they will replace these if you keep quite so as not to alert other potential buyers that there is real chance it won't fucking work.

Shame on you, seriously and if I was into LEDs I would urge all to boycott their shit.

Annoyes the fuck out of me, fucking Spider Farmer shipping out shit and telling customers to keep quite and if so they'll send a replacement.

I almost bought 2 sf2000s from them 2 weeks ago and I'm glad I didn't now. At least with Alibaba I already know the after sale support might not be great.

OP, so sorry to hear how poorly they have treated you. Shades of Mars in the early days, where people were making yt videos burning them, smashing them... cause Mars warranty and service was SHIT

I will no longer recommend them until/unless they make a huge apology on their website and resolve your problem by sending you a new panel overnight

sucks for you. If you would have emailed them a simple video when they asked, you would have ended up with a new light and got to keep the old one, which likely needs a $30 driver. Not that hard to turn location tags off....if you seriously think they are going to try to find where some small grower on the other side of the planet lives, which if you are having a light shipped direct to you, they already know

Not advocating bad customer service, but you could have made it turn out much better in a much smaller amount of time. I really am kind of curious what the hang up of taking a video for them is?

seems asinine but the asking for video proof before honoring a warranty isnt that big a deal to me. maybe they have had bad luck with shitbag customers in the past? who knows
Just common sense to ask for proof , especially if they pay for shipping across the world. Though im not sure if they do looking at the warranty.
But with people the way they are its not out the question to want to rule out a dodgy socket before replacing a product.

No idea why its a big issue. Not dealing with apple here.

not apple this is true, i dont know what margins they are working with. some companys can hire a "stella" to buffer warranty returns or even correct simple issues (aka my light doesnt work, i need to return....but did you try this first? ohh now it works cool).

alot of bigger companies dont bother with hiring of folks if the economies of scale are great enough; they just send another unit and take back the old one rather than hire someone to act as buffering

big or small though, a company should stand by its products. hope it gets resolved for OP

Apparently they're the same Company but I dont know if theres any truth to that. Either way I wont give either of them my business even though the new sp3000 does look pretty nice.

I did make it better. I bought a better light with better customer service.

thats actually really normal with companies.
Etsy does it too just about everyone on amazon does

Anytime Ive left a bad review for a company they have contacted me to attempt to make it right in exchange for my review to be edited or removed

this is not uncommon in the product industry at all.

Yeah, I lurk the LED chatter and see the top choices when it’s time to buy, the good/bad ratio is too shitty for myself on the mh or sf stuff as well.

Yea Glad I went with Alibaba again. I don't have much faith in the warranty but €285 for two 220 watt boards is worth the risk for me. I would have paid 270 for one sf2000 and still get shitty customer service.
