I took a better picture so you could see the relative humidity stress. See the tacoing of the leaves?2020-SpaceMonkey.jpg

This Space Monkey and the BlueBerry Hashplant to her left show the reaction to low RH even better. They are senescing and will probably be chopped this week.

New growth vs. old growth is a sign, ie: where the problem first started can help determine what element could be the issue. Sorry not too specific.

Fuck no, you can make one easy for less, less than half that. Search "DIY humidifier" here, or DIY ultrasonic humidifier on youtube. Or go to houseofhydro.com.

JD mentioned above that Ca is largely dependent on transpiration. Ca is an immobile element.

If your room is *sealed, I'd think a humidifier would work pretty well. But you said it's a large room, I duno how large. I'm just gonna add that, if you do find interest in the diy ultrasonic humidifier, maybe call houseofhydro and just ask them some questions re: size of room, how many disc unit you'd need for that space etc.

Also, http://www.angelfire.com/cantina/fourtwenty/articles/profiles.htm
Enter everything you're using into this calculator or similar one online and get an actual idea of what level of each element you're currently providing, instead of just going by electroconductivity of the whole solution. You can also search here for @Renfro who posted an excel spreadsheet calculator that does the same thing.

Peace.
For calcium being dependant on humidity is that the same for mag? As this looks more like a mag issue than a calcium issue doesn’t it?

I’ve seen house of hydro for my size I’d need the XL model and it’s around 300 dollars by the time I add a tote we’re getting up there in cost

I run similar tap water, mines hard.I add Epsom to about 70 ppm in my rdwc .I run in total about 1.1ec.I add calmag to my coco plants only.

My water company doesn’t actually provide a hardness report. I might get one of them calcium test strips for ponds and see.

Right well humidity is up to 60% now so I guess ill keep monitoring them over next few says and see how they get on. Hopefully humidity is definitely the issue

Magnesium is a mobile element.
But, an apparent 'deficiency' in one or more elements does not necessarily mean that there is a shortage of that element. It could be many things; temp, humidity, ph, other elements in over abundance causing a lockout of something, etc.
That's why I think it might be a good idea to check and see about what quantity of the actual element you're providing at 'x' dosage of what you're feeding.

Damn! Really?
One other benefit of those, in my opinion, is that there isn't filters and stuff like that to constantly replace, or clog/get buildup or potential mold, etc. Though you have to replace the discs, it's not that often and they can be had pretty cheap. If you have hard water or water with lots of minerals I've heard that can build up on the discs or even settle on stuff. Not an issue for me.
There are "whole home humidifiers" that hook up to a house's (did I punctuate that right?) central hvac too... but they sound a finicky to me.
60% sounds pretty good man. :)

Well thats a big jump, what made the most difference?

Got to 90% this morning as my diy swamp cooler leaked and flooded my entire room sorted that out now and I’ve just got a little humidifier going as it turns out higher humidity is actually very interesting. Ac units turn on less now so less dehumidification of the air

I had very uneven canopy temps at one end of my grow I’d have 32c and the other side 26c at 30% humidity but water vapour has the ability to hold and store energy. A lot of energy actually.
The heat capacity of water evens out the direct heat load of my leds and now I have a 30c canopy across the board completely even and 60% humidity

Ya keep the air moving when RH is up,
My circulation of everything is always spot on. 4500m3h air circulation in the room 16000 lph water circulation
Jus need this deficiency issue to sort its self now and everything will be back to being spot on

So bit of an update...

Upped my calmag dose and total ppm to 320 with humidity at around 50% turns out somehow the first day was a fluke after the humidifier was running a whole day it maxed at 50% ive ordered a commercial humidifier it will arrive in a couple of days. But for now...

Leaves have turned a dark green which suggests my calmag dose is near max... couldn’t go any higher even if I wanted to. And it’s only around 100PPM of calmag.
However I still have calcium deficiency on my leaves.... new leaves after they get to a certain size it’s crazy

and my new leaf tips also show signs of nute burn! I am at a loss as to what is going on

It appears to want more Ca. I'd up it. N is what's causing your leaves to get darker green but we've been over this road. I've suggested more Ca from the beginning. Good luck.

Yeah but we don’t want extremely dark leaves do we? I’ve always been under the impression dark green leaves resembles nitrogen toxicity

I use CaliMagic. I'm not sure what your supplement is but mine is 1-0-0. I'd up the calcium and lower my other nutrients if I needed to avoid N Tox. But you don't look close to N tox and I've N toxed my plants before. They go a dark blue green. I'm currently backing the drive I have my images on and don't want to slow it more but you seem to be reaching a healthy color now.

@cannabineer can you take a look at his nutrient regimen and make some suggestions on how to up his Ca without reaching Nitrogen toxicity? Thanks

SamWE19 (CN is a Ph.D. organic chemist), run over your nutrient regimen with him.

Im using hydroponic researche stackswell atm.
8% nitrogen 8% calcium 8% magnesium
From calcium nitrate
Magnesium nitrate
Calcium gluconate
Magnesium gluconate

You need a higher Ca to N ratio. Annie suggested CaliMagic, and I think that is your fix. It contains 1% N but that will not be enough to cause N toxicity. Try the CaliMagic.

I recognize not wanting to add a new product to a supposedly complete nutrient. I have the same sense of caution when I’m faced with adding a variable. Annie gets a definite benefit adding it to the also-complete GH Flora nutes. In my opinion, adding it will fix much of what your pics show.

I just looked up calimagic unfortunately not available in my area..

Can I get away with Epsom salts (not sure on g/l?) and something else for calcium as a raw salt that I may be able to source?

for calcium I can source a pool hardness powder calcium carbonate?

My start water is 0.1ec so I guess in future I’m gonna try and get it to 0.3ec all the time with these before even adding my base nutes

Epsom is good for Mg but you also need calcium. I use solution-grade garden gypsum. It dissolves well enough at dosings 3to 5 times higher than yours. I mix it into my reservoir to arrive at about 50 or so ppm of Ca.Gypsum is 23.3% Ca. So 50 ppm means about 1gram/5 liters gypsum. Add 25 ppm Mg by adding Epsom salt which is 10% Mg. That’s 1gram/4 liters.

Avoid calcium chloride. You risk Cl lockout.
