Up next for the 7th cycle I’ve got TKNL5haze from Ak Beanbrains. I popped 12 TK beans and only found 3 ladies, so I decided to run one Glukie Breath from ThugPug As well. I gotta say I’m really intrigued to see how theses TKNL5haze turn out. I don’t know if anyone listens to the Potcast, but when AK Beanbrains was on he said some pretty bold statements about this strain.
Basically he said the TKNL5HAZE will cut through any tolerance issues one might have. He also said he got many reports from his testers that people would green out when smoking it. Guess it’s a huge Vascular dilator according to AK anyways. Guess I’ll find out. :weed:
Pics are of the Tknl5haze.

Nice full cover crop! What size pots? If I had to guess I'd say 15 or 25 gal?

Never heard of AK bean brains, ima have to look him up. I've been on a oldschool kick lately, that's why The Nature Farm beans, and the next ones for testing are gonna be some MOB seeds, Velvet Sunrise (velvet rush × sunset sherbet). I also have Lotus (velvet rush × the one) and TOBC2 (the one bx) for next fall. I've always wanted to try a NL5/haze or a mix thereof.

So many beans, so little time!!

thanks ! 15 gallon pots. AK has a impressive catalogue. You can email him directly at [email protected] for his list.. I recently picked up a sweet 3 way colab from AK. It was for charity so a great cause. Ak did a back cross of StrayFox’s ” Bucketlist 91 ” (Chem 91 skunk Va cut x Starfighter ) and back crossed it to a a Chem91bx 3 male. The seeds also came with two freebies.
Black Domina bx that AK did with Mr Bob Hemphill
And Consumption. ( The Cough x Tknl5haze) with Relic seeds. The cough is apparently a Sativa leaning Nl5haze old school cut......also referred to as the Texas Cough. He talks about it in the Potcast If anyone is remotely interested lol.

but ya. I have a serious bean hoarding problem lol. I’ve probably got close to a 100 different packs from various breeders......just orderd 4 more packs with all there Black Friday sales going on. How could I pass up a bargain ? :wall: Lol

Yeah, it's a problem here too, I have a quality street tin so full of seeds in the freezer that I have to keep it closed with an elastic. I'm of the opinion that you can never have too many, especially with corporate cunts trying to patent "THC", strains and whatever else this abomination of "legalization" throws our way.

I have a bunch of chem mixes, skunks, OGs, cookies, gg mixes, hazes, Mexican, African, Afghan, Nepalese, Columbian landraces and everything in between.

Ok that's what I thought, in regards to shading.. So the material that dies off essentially becomes your mulch layer? I guess you'd be cutting off and eating most of what you're growing there!! This is really inspiring.
Yes sir, when the cover crop is mostly shaded out by the plants then I just use the leafs and what not that I remove when I defoliate as mulch. It’s crazy how fast the mulch just disappears into the soil. The soil food web is thriving I guess.

Every time you trim your lowers or fans you get to feed your plants back to your plants. I trim fan leaves over my beds at harvest and throw back all the stems, wet leaves after making bubble hash and everything organic back in as part of the mulch layer. Zero waste growing at its finest. I'm toying around with that whole "companion plants" thing, like putting tomatoes or something too. Supposed to be super good for the soil , and you get free tomatoes.

Organic living soil is the absolute best method of growing, period. End of sentence. It's like fucking magic!!

I only wish I hadn't wasted the best part of 20 years mixing potions and chasing problems. I'd make a deal with the devil to get that grow time back.

Hey Burt, as a mixer of potions (hydro - Mega Crop) are you all organic now? Or do you still find use for other methods?

dude I lament all the time over the same thing, if I knew then what I knew now... but can't live in the past, and I look at anything I learn and share now, as a blessing... Not to be a nay-sayer, but I'd be weary of growing vegetables in there.. I've always found growing veggies indoors can attract pests more so than herbs and greens... that being said, companion planting with certain flowers works very well outside and I'm sure, maybe even in combo with veggies, could be more beneficial... and, as far as mulching with fans, etc.. I'm still working on my mulch game.. I'm primarily an outdoor grower, so this live soil indoors has been a real revelation and awakening for me!!
