4 plants at a time in or out for a household (per address I guess)
Inside is easy if you follow KISS and just dont overthink it. And use coco and avoid bugs.
"Give us a place to stand ... and a place to grow"

When they wrote that little number for Expo 67, they had no idea how prophetic it was. A hello to my fellow countrymen from the T.O. area. We've got 1 Red Diesel and 1 Blue Cheese currently on the grow.

From the Ontario Cannabis website - "You are able to grow up to four plants per residence (not per person)." With today's training techniques and proper growing fundamentals, you can net some pretty good yields with 4 ladies. And going that route is much cheaper than buying a second residence.

I've been using the SCROG method for traing the canopy during veg and early flower stretch with excellent results. It takes a little more time to fill the scrog with only 4 plants, but not much. I'm only using a single 315w LEC with supplemental t5 lighting on either side (my grow space is a 1x2m bathtub). Currently running 12 clones, and wil likely harvest about the same as 4 plants, just a quicker turnaround this time. Regardless, if you're only growing for personal use, your friends are gonna love you, cause you're all about to harvest a stupid amount of nug per run. And growing is so fun, you won't want to stop and only grow as-needed. Lol

This is my current run at flip (1.5 weeks ago) they're about 4 inches above the screen now. :weed:

Nice looking girls.

I didn't even SCROG my first time, used about 60% of the space and still pulled just under 8 oz. I just strung my SCROG nets (2 of them 2' x 2') and can't wait for my ladies to get big enough so i can start weaving the new growth through. I'm hoping to nearly double that when I harvest in a few months.

What's the expression in our parlance? Smoking cannabis might not be addictive but growing it sure is!

I would get some of my bud from OCS occasionally. Shipping was dirt cheap. Was nice to know the CBD and I don’t vape that much weed. So it just made sense. As for seeds. Fuck that. Random nonesense strain names and shit.

I paid $84 from true north for 5 cd1 seeds from medical genetics and got a free northern light seed.

I was going to use Ontario seed bank. But damn the selection and sales from true north are amazing. With legalization though they run out quickly.

I have 3 tents and will get a 4th. :D
Currently I am running 2 tents that are 5 square footers by 5 feet and i have a 4 x 4 and lights for them and the 2 x 4 i want.

10 bucks a gram and i bought it. Sparky ass weed. Shit i can grow wrong and not do it at the end too but i learned from that and mine is better.

So i say 1 plant per tent. bongsmilie

The light hoard at this time
232 watt samsung strip light (true northern lighting) in 4k
200 watt Timber 2VL in 3.5K (latest generation Vero cobs)
315 CMH with Phillips 3100 and 4200 bulbs
135 watt samsung quantum board in 4k

I can say nothing bad about any of the lights. They are all rock stars and i recommend getting any of them over a vipar or mars or blurple anything. You will not regret it.

And a door-stopping Mars Reflector 48. I would veg with it but that quantum 135 is ridiculously good and it is adjustable from seedling to full veg

Tech has made it great for the hobbyist

I have been investing over time. My wife needed the meds and then after I needed the meds and now i just love cannabis for pain and for general state of mind. I love multiple tents so you can grow 4 different strains and have a 16 week landrace in one and not care because you have an 8 week hybrid in #2 and #3 has critcal mass and #4 is a gangbuster....

Currently running king tut GG4 and critical mass. GG4 I have never tried and the others i love.
Total draw of power is 450 watts (killowatt tested with fans etc). Not too shabby.

I think growing at home is a hobby and I wish to be an elite hobbyist. I will let you know when I get there.

The OCS started selling seeds this week.

https://ocs.ca/collections/clones-and-seeds

They had Tweed Argyle (THC 4.7% CBD 5.3%) and Bakerstreet (THC 17% CBD 0.1%) $60 for four seeds. All sold out now.
I received the Bakerstreet seeds I ordered from BCCS yesterday.
The quality complaints about LP bud also extend to LP seeds. The four seeds I received, were small, and pale green. Definitely not allowed to mature. Since I already have four plants underway I won't try to germinate these for probably two months. I am not sure that they will germinate at all.

That sucks, sorry you didn't get what you were expecting. Can you return them? I purchased five RQS Northern Light seeds and they were small and pale as well, though not green. Not like the dark brown tortoise shell like seeds that you see in photos and all five germinated.

Heard from a good friend in the mortgage business in Ontario last night that many companies now have a checkbox on the mortgage application form and/or forms for selling your house that you must disclose if you did grow weed in the house, and if so there is an inspection that must be carried out to make sure there is no remediation necessary. like i guess they think we would be punching holes in walls to run cords through and not venting properly causing black mold? WTF

It’s for mold reasons. But generally any small grow up of 4-6 plants won’t cause mold.

I have some pics of the seeds in my thread in the autoflower section. Post #36

I guess time will tell about their viability. Will try to germinate two of these in March so I can get the next grow in before it gets too hot out.

I see that old habits do die hard.

In our previous abode, I had a room custom built in the basement for growing. There was proper 14 gauge wire run to the fuse box through the floor joists. The side of the room was right beside one of the basement window wells which held the 250 CFM exhaust fan perfectly. No holes punched anywhere for power or venting. The room went up and came back down just as easily. Once dismantled, there wasn't a trace. We did not disclose anything to the realtors when we sold that residence nearly 7 years ago.

I left two of the power receptacles which the new owner totally loved. He was convinced the original builder put them in and I wasn't gonna dispute him.
