i was getting a big fat 0 after giving mine away.. havest a couple plants and there is too much after giving away i just request a few brownies or cookies whatever they make

Sounds reasonable.
With legalization it seems a lot of people are interested in making cookies and brownies and such so ive been asked this question a lot lately.
I use all mine for medicine, but im still curious about the answer

If I am buying trim or stale outdoor I usually pay no more than $1/g, for edibles since I use a lot.

Well fresh frozen is gonna weigh alot compared to dry. On average I would charge a portion of what I could make off it if I processed it myself.

I don't weigh my batches of material unless I'm doing a specific test run to yield or something. Usually I use a quart mason jar for my washes and get roughly 3-6 grams of oil depending on exactly how much material was in the jar.

That oil could be sold or turned into edibles which could be sold. So that single mason jar, with 1-2 ounces of material in it can produce $100-300 worth of product easily, probably more if you played your cards right.

I like the 1/10th the flower price answer for dried material. For wet material, you need to account for the weight to be the fairest. Maybe cut the weight in half to make up for the water. I also don't fuck around with crappy trim. I only save and use the absolute best sugar material. There is no point in using the crap unless you want crap back.

Well i have found after several years of wet trimming my bud right down to finished nugs and then weighing them immediately... and then weighing at all after it's been properly cured... there is a weight loss of 78%.

Could prolly apply that to wet trim / dry trim. Prolly be a bit more loss though cause dry trim usually is bone dry...

Im the same with my trim. If it aint got trichs on it it dont make it into the freezer bag. Im sure most people arent so fussy...lol

I've always gotten it free, most the growers I knew had more than they knew what to do with and they would end up tossing it in the garbage if someone didn't just take it.

I (almost) ran out of weed between grows a few months ago and started getting nervous. I found a couple of ounces of sweet skunk close trim all dried out somewhere and put it in a jar in my smoking area.

Honestly, it got me pretty much as baked as the sweet skunk bud, but it did taste like shit and was harsh af

Does anyone know how sugar trim compares to the same bud as far as thc percentage? Id bet that it would actually be pretty close

Occasionally I just can't be bothered taking the time to process it, I understand why others do though

Back when it was being picked up free it was for blasting and usually was both trim and larf, if people did not take it from the growers it eventually went moldy and was tossed.

Trim/shake/popcorn can be the most profitable part of the plant.

Concentrate, oil, tincture, broke smoke etc. Round these parts 50ml of tincture goes for 20, shake ozs are 70$, shatter is 12-35$g, rosin is 45-70$ g, they say..

this is a Medical section ..not rec after all..
these prices would sink any patient.
may as well roll over and die :lol:
seeing what it actually costs to GROW YOURSELF ;)
