You've got a shop, a budget, and are on track to use the right gear, no sarcasm intended. You are about to find out how easy this is to do.
I know it was a nice way for me to say, I'm not wanting to make you jealous even though I stated that lol. I think once I get past the part of ordering everything and the are in front of me I'll be ok. Probably not but where about to find out lol

I stuck two of my fingers in the table saw when I build my first set. I'm sure you will do better.
No way? How did that feel? Should have invested in a saw stop first lmao. Jesus man you didnt fuck your self up that bad did you? Obviously you got fucked up but you didnt loose the fingers did you? One of the many times I got really baked in high school I went to wood shop after. I smoked with a few friends and this one new kid. Fuckin kid cut his whole index finger off and the band saw threw it across the room. I'll never forget the horror on the kids face when he realized he lost his tickle finger. Kid was running around like a nut frantically looking for his finger. He found it on the belt sander and started screaming about what to do. All I remember was telling the kid to put it in a plastic bag then put it on ice. Then I laughed because I was freaked out. I've never gotten a pinch luckily. I did almost get my hand crushed in a 40ton I beam last year though. Scary shit man.

if i was gonna buy a light for 4'x2' today i would get one of these 3. probably lean toward the chilled to try the added reds and blues in their spectrum and growmau5 sold it pretty well in that latest vid
you could DIY the first two of these with same components and save a little bit of money

So I shouldn't even bother with the cxb cob kit then? On the chilled would it make sense to leave the optic cover off if I went that route?

that would work fine too. be a little more expensive and a little more efficient. personally i like the results i get from running my cobs a bit higher power and the veros are better for that

as for the chilled i would use the optics and hang them the height that chilled suggests. those guys know their stuff. check out their youtube channel they just made a video about using that pack for a 4x2

I don't think you could handle the photo... It healed up pretty well...
Will never be the same again but it looks 95% OK. The body can do some amazing healing.

It hurt like fuck, but the healing period was worse... Your fingertips experience enormous pressure. It is one of the first places to rupture when you die. Every time I moved my arms it felt like the bones were poking out through the new meat. I treat the saw with great respect now.

It's funny you say that, it's very true haha. I can stomach alot of things but for some reason when it comes to things like that it gets too me. Put it up! Haha. I have been told that about the pressure build up. I could not even begin to imagine how bad that hurt after the initial shock. Its probably been a bit since but I'm sorry that happened to you! I do hope you made a speedy recovery!

been a few months yeah. There are still a few small blood spatters on the ceiling I couldn't get to...
I'm not good with seeing my own blood, it makes me want to faint... Had the common sense to just wad my hand up tightly in a towel and run to a neighbor to take me for medical attention.

I got a QB in a 2x4. I'm quite happy! Love the whole next gen led thing. I didnt do the diy thing. But rather rebuildt a new heatsink after running it for a couple days. Wasnt happy the driver was directly on the heatsink either. I bildt a larger heatsink and mounted the driver to have an inch air between itself and the heatsink, i like how it turned out.

I migth go for a migro cob light next time. Been hearing alot of good feedback on those.

Man o man, thankfully even in a time of panic and stress you were able to think clearly and wrap you finger and apply pressure. I'm fine seeing my own blood, its others that bother me. The smell is what really gets me. Blood has a smell as if you were using a propylene torch to cut metal that was painted with lead paint. It smells like structural steel and lead paint to be exact. Use some hydrogen peroxide to get the spatter out when you're felling well enough. It works wonders either that or soda water. They bother work really well to get stains out!

Pics or it didnt happen! I'm kidding, do you have pics that you could share? I noticed that with alot of premade builds that there is no spacing for the driver. I dont like it as well, I feel that heat would end up screwing up the driver down the road. Considering that they could go for much more than what is charged due to the market explosion they are still pretty pricey for most people. Even if money is not that big an issue who the hell wants to pay for something that does not last. I sure the hell dont and I cant see any benefit to having it attacked directly to the heat sink. The light might not extreamly hot but it's going to get pretty warm. I see failure with no spacing for air. Thanks for hoping me on to what you did.

You did end up going with the same tent! That's awesome I knew you would like it. I've set my tent up but its currently being used to hold grow supplies that Im not even going to use at this point. I set it up in july and I loved it from the start. Where did you get it? I hope you went to the website I linked! I paid 215 for the tent at the time. It was almost 30.00 cheaper than the light line. I think I'm going to grab another cfm kit. Not that it was not sturdy to begin with but adding that kit made it more sound. When I first got it I had the gf zip me in it while she walked around with a spot light to check for leaks. Not only did I not see one speck of light it got very warm in there and my house was around 57 at the time with ac. Hey at least I know where I'm going to sleep if she kicks me out over neglect lol. I'm going to toss it in the yard on it's back with my sleeping bag. Fucking things like a survival shelter but better than setting an a frame made with a thin mylar blanket! What are you using for a fan? The girls look nice but what's wrong with your smaller ones?

They look a wee bit stressed. What size is that tent, in cm? Im not used to looking at things in feet:lol: What do you do when you spill water? I buildt a base at the bottomfloor, raising my floorlevel. And put a big plastic tray underneath to catch any spilled water. Is that a scrog/trellie net on the floor? Do you guys have a smaller secondary space, for setting up seeds, making clones etc? I'm thinking I might build one. Save some time between one flowering to the next.

Sorry, ranting. Heavy wakenbake today
