On a different note:
I created my account on 4/20, I logged in 2 days later, I was looking at my orders and I noticed an order from November that had been canceled. I was like, "I didn't make an order in November" and I sure didn't cancel any orders. :confused:
So I clicked on the order and guess what, there was somebody else's name and home address on my account.:hump:
ill let my webdesigner know about this. we will be shutting down the site to look deeper into this issue since you a newer user had this issue. UPDATE site is down so we can look further into the issue

Glad you were finally convinced to take the site down, although it is too bad it took this long and cost you the trust of many customers. Truly hope you use this as a learning experience for how you handle issues of this nature in the future. No matter what your intentions were, in this business your customers safety needs to be a high priority and the perception that has been created is just the opposite of that. This thread will be seen by not just current customers, but future customers researching your company as well and I am sure will have a impact on future business.

Having said that, I do wish you well moving forward and hope the issue is corrected swiftly. I also hope you can discover a way to apologize in a meaningful way to your customers that have been affected by this breach of personal information.

I made a purchase from OES and I was worried reading this thread. My order made it but I dont want my address, and all the related info on a "glitchy" website. How do I delete my account when the website comes back?

So the site is up, but I see no post's here from OES about the issue being resolved or what is being done for the people that have had personal info made available to others. Sketchy way to do business.

Exactly, I’m one of those future customers who was about to order until I found this thread. It sucks too because I still want to do business with them as they have lots of stuff that JB and SOS don’t have but I’m waiting for an option for a guest checkout without making an account. I really like the way Southern Oregon Seeds does ordering.

Good to hear, how about the second part of my post. Are you doing anything for your customers that had personal info exposed while the site was left up instead of being fixed when the issue first occurred? To many people that will be very important to restore trust. Customers want to see you own the problem and make it right for those affected.

To be clear I have no dog in this fight, and have no intention of making any purchases after seeing how this was handled. I am just trying to nudge you in the direction of doing the right thing for those that did place their trust in you.

I had that happen on another US seed vender where someone's else's order and info popped up in my account, not going to say who to cause another shit storm but it def made me wonder who got my info.
But really what can you do for those accounts that were affected? Free seeds ain't going to do shit for you. I would rather have my account deleted. Let's be honest, if your buying shit illegally, your the first person putting your own ass at risk.

I agree that free seeds would not fix anything. I was thinking more along the lines of notification to all customers that could potentially have had there info breached, along with a explanation for why the issue wasn't handled with the urgency necessary to prevent more breaches. Also explaining how the issue was certified as fixed, since they said it was fixed already, and clearly was not.

Anything short of that will indicate that customers saftey is of no importance.

Great experiences ordering from this company on multiple different orders recently. Will order again.

$800 in cash just wanted to spread the word. Seems they like to target out of state people. I would never post anything like this or hurt anyone's rep or business, but it has been months, they have done nothing to rectify the situation, quit answering emails as soon as I provided proof of delivery of money. Sucks bro... tis the industry right now. So many times we hear ppl getting ripped off on seeds deals all over the place.. They build a good rep then bam...they steal everyone's cash and never heard from again. Total fucking scum, nothing but common thieves.

I wanted to purchase from your selection, but honestly since that is your post/reply to the issues at hand, pretty sad/pathetic from you. A one sentence just saying the site is up and running. No nothing else to say????? That really shows how much effort you put into this and your care.

Everyones spooked haha I'll probably order just to see what's up

I pay with money orders and use a P.O. box so I don't have to worry about people getting my address or personal information beyond my first and last name.
