Never had any problems, I cut my intake holes in the base, when lights are on there is a little bit of light leakage out. Daylight doesn't reflect in. Also it works great as a intake filter, no dust or bugs get in, the only downside is that I have to vacuum them clean at the end of every grow or you could replace them it's cheap enough, I get mine from £1 store but you only get 1 sheet.

Currently I only have 2 sockets available because my grow space is so small, so once I upgrade I'll probably buy a single light that would preferably be strong enough to go into flowering.
What i did was at walmart they have a 3 bulb vanity light. I got it for like 10 bucks. It has a nice reflective box that came with it but i didnt have room in my case for it.

Oh yeah, I was just at Walmart the other day, but I still dont know enough about LED to commit to buying lol. I found this 125w CFL light on amazon for about 40$ not sure if the socket size differs from the regular light sockets though :/

Go led trust me you won't regret it. The buds are so much denser with led not airy like CFL. I'm 6 weeks into flower with this new led rig and my buds are dense and getting frosty.

Alright, Ill look into it, probably not gunna go the 20 single led option, Ill probably try to buy one small panel that will do for 1-3 plants

How many of those would I need for flowering? I found a pack of 4 for 20$ CAD on amazon. Im going to also need to upgrade my box soon lol, its about 2' x 3' x 3' and my plant itself is over a foot tall not including the pot.
I don't know, I haven't tried flowering with them. I use 3 for early veg and 6 for advanced/aggressive veg :)
I also use 1 for clones but have them off to the side in the indirect light until they've rooted and start growing.

You could buy 2 Y-shaped dual sockets for $2.85 each. They screw into your main sockets and allows for 2 bulbs per socket.
You're definitely gonna want more light intensity. I would suggest using four 6500k bulbs for your veg cycle, and then later on, use four 2700K bulbs for your flowering cycle. Or, you could mix and match while in the veg stage, then go full on 2700K bulbs when pistils start to appear.

just a current update guys, i had to cull these guys. i failed on this, and will go again. i over watered, under watered, had crappy soil, and maybe even some nute burn trying to save them in the end. i might could have saved one, but it was only like an inch tall and putting up hairs. i decided to can it. i will run the pc box again when i get another pc fan. i had to scrap one of them for a diy humidifier for my armiore. i had some pics, but i guess i deleted them... ill have it back online before long though
