Drip Irr issue

Thought I'd drop in here to find an answer thru you indoor growers. I have a gravity feed drip system ran from my rain barrels to my GH. Very happy with the workings of it. But I get a build up of crap in my lines as they set for a few days between watering.
What can I safely add to my water that will eliminate these problems and not affect the girls?
Thx for any response...SD :peace:

You can try using something for a filter, on the line going to your GH (not sure what that is). Any idea what's causing the buildup, and what the buildup is? I wouldn't think you'd get much with rain.

Hey thanks for the reply, I've been told I don't explain things well enough (wife says).
It appears to be an algae buildup from the water setting dormant in the lines between waterings. Sometimes up to a week between.
I guess I assumed you reservoir users would know of something organic that could work in this situation.

Wow, she looks nice! Not sure about the buildup, sorry.

I often had problems with buildup in my (non organic) drip system. I found that salt caused the buildup inside the drippers, and that algae, small particles of media (coco) and perhaps also bacteria clogged the tubing. I eliminated the drippers completely, using only the "spagetti"-hose without drippers. Also I started to add hydrogen peroxide into the reservoir twice a week. The problems disappeared.
