Dimming 1000w DE bulb

I'm going to be gifted a few Phantom 1000W DE ballasts. With only 8ft ceilings to work with, I suspect running them at 1000w would be far too much.

Conventional wisdom says that dimming SE HPS bulbs negatively impacts spectrum.

Would I encounter similar issues with dimming a 1000w DE bulb to 750w?

I wish I knew too. Hopefully someone will chime in. I have the same issue using 875 W setting on my DE ballast / 1000W bulb.

DE don't suffer the same as SE on dimmer but to run it long term is still messing with spectrum. This is from the Gavita website info on the 6/750
