Newbieeee

Hey there everyone, my name is uhhhh........ hold up let me make one up.....

Mike, Sean mike, new grower from Fresno, currently have 5 plants in veg and they seem to be having problems, now BEFORE you guys say anything, I know my plants aren't in the optimal environment at the moment as far as lights temp and soil go which is pretty much EVERYTHING wrong, the reason being is I was unprepared, a friend of mine just gave them to me out of no where so why not. I had already been planning to set up a grow anyways so thought eh why not. Im moving out pretty soon so I'll have an entire room for plants. Need some ideas as far as the grow, I wanna do 1000w light and organic soil, with earth juice nutes. I was hoping to be getting a pound or more every few months. Going this weekend to harborside in San Jose to pick up a few nice clones thinking about 7 or so make them mothers and take clones off those. My budget for all this is around 400. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated. Btw its my first time writing ANYTHING this long so if I don't make sense or missed a few things I apologize. Btw I'm not a COMPLETE newbie, I've grown around 4 cookies plants with only 2 weeks veg and got around 3 ounces off of them. Oh almost forgot, plants seem wilted and getting yellow spots

Your gonna hate this but here goes.
You started by telling us everything is wrong then asked what was wrong. Lol

Seriously though, you have to be very detailed in a help request.
List your equipment, grow medium, nutes, feed schedule,
Temps, humidity.
Etc...

Then and only then will people be able to safely offer advice.

Good luck
Also if you are unable to provide the correct environment don't expect much.

An elbow or more every other month is a tall order. Aim high but let’s set a realistic target first. You need to get your game down first including cloning. To get a pound every other month you’re talking perpetual which IMO is difficult for a newb. You really have to know what you’re doing. You’re going about it the right way, getting Seeds in the ground. You’ll mess up, a lot, but it’s part of the process. Good luck!

You are absolutely right. Lol. Just second guess myself I guess.

Any advice on certain soils and nutes?
I use ocean forrest soil and most any nutes will work.
You don't need to break the bank.

I would keep it simple.
A grow nute and a flower nute and have some calmag on hand.

You dont need all the fancy boosters, hardners and all that.

Get a few grows in then add what you want.

There are some guys here that can give you lots of options as far as brand names.

Depends what you’re looking for. Organic? Soiless? For example I grow in pro mix hp, soiless media (peat based with good drainage) and use Botanicare nutes. Mostly organic. My plants dry out every 3 days like clockwork. If you choose coco it dries out much faster so you can feed every day. If you’re looking for an all in one soil then I’ve seen a lot of people use fox farm ocean forest but you’ll have to supplement at some point as the plant exhausts the soil of nutes.

I was thinking of going with fox farms and maybe their line of nutes?

Looks like you need more light, better soil and make sure you have plenty of drainage.

Plants are struggling so I would get some details posted soon

I will leave you with this.
There are some grow vids on youtube.
None are the end all be all but they answer many very basic questions.

They allow you to kind of see start to finish what is required and if you watch a couple all the way through you will
Have a basic understanding to start from.

Beware newbies tend to overwater overfeed. Focus on either soil or try hydro. If you go soil research Coots mix, then you just water till the end when you might topdress the soil. Hydro is what I like because it’s easier and can be automated with pumps on timers like the lights and fans. I can be gone for a week and not have a problem. Once you start growing you won’t want to stop. Peace sdd

Hey everybody, got 6 clones yesterday from harborside San jose, a 600watt MH/HPS light, ffof and ff happy frog soil along with earth juice nutes, grow and bloom also earth juice molasses and the guy recommended super thrive so I got that as well, also bigger proper pots NO DIY LOL except for the young clones. Put the clones in the happy frog and the other 4 I had in OF. Clones consist of, grape ape, blackberry fire, kens GDP, royal highness, blueberry muffin and GG#4. Have the halide light on at 50% since its a dimmable light until I can get more ventilation in there, grow space is a closet 5×5 but isn' the final grow room since I will be moving out and will have an entire room for plants. Just thought I'd share this info with you all. Any help on how and when to use earth juice nutrients, molasses and or super thrive would be GREATLY appreciated, hope you're all having a good day/night. Peace.

Will upload pics in the AM, for now I am BEAT

Congratulations. I’d say the best way to start is to just start. Get them girls in the dirt and off you go. Then it gets in your blood and you’ll never stop.
