Feel free to jump in and give me any tips or help you have. Gonna be scrogging 3 plants in a 4x2x5 tent with a 1500w led and 4in 190 cfm inline fan with a carbon scrubber for the neighbors. Got some serious space issues in this tiny apartment. Gotta keep these ladies short so im gonna be topping early, lst'ing and getting em under the screen asap. 1 royal cookies and 2 critical from royal queen seeds, using kind soil with ff happy frog in 3 gallon fabric pots.

Feb 14th. Had a delay germinating the critical but it is now in the paper towel. It will be a couple days behind the cookies.
Cookies sprouted. Its really dry where i am in the world so i have a ghetto humidity dome over the sprout. Also to shade a bit of the intense led light till she can handle it a bit better.

Also you can see on the right side of the pic a bowl with a white towel. The rh is low over here so I put like 3 inches of water in the bowl and put the towel in it kind of hanging over the sides with a fan blowing on it. Raised my rh from 25% to 37%.

Feb 15th. Got humidity up to 42% and im gonna try and keep it there until these girls have established roots. Critical still hasn't popped but it hasn't even been a full 24 hrs.

Let me know if the towel in the bowl keeps working. That's pretty good results for just a towel in a bowl, lol. I'm thinking you could try just a cheap CFL bulb or two for starters, for the first week or two. Could save you a little on the electric bill and then maybe you can use something clearer for a humidity dome, like a clear plastic cup. Just a thought.

Yea man the towel in the bowl is steady working. Almost unbelievably well. I was thinking about cfl's, just wasnt sure if it would keep things warm enough. Thanks for the tip ill try it out.

I put cfl's in the tent and turned the led off because it was too intense for the seedlings. Not fancy at all but it will get em going. Only one has sprouted so far so it has the lil ghetto dome

I always leave my seedlings under a 2 ft 2 bulb T12 light both bulbs are 6500k "ultra blue" .

The latest ones I had were about 8 inches tall and had 5-6 nodes, I kept them super short, I don't have a lot of head space. Also those lights are really cheap and cheap on power bill.

They work man, I see this is your first grow so I'll shoot some knowledge your way about light. Real simple.

seedlings/clones/plants just starting out are looking for and reaching for BLUE light, of course you want other spectrums in there for the whole balance but BLUE light will keep them short and bushy (of course genetics will play a role in everything). That helps with the head height, vegging for 4 weeks is the shortest suggested period for vegging. Sure people do it straight from seed but I would never. Many specialists say the sex hasn't even been determined until 3 weeks. Oh regular seeds give the hardiest plants. But feminized will do you fine.
If after your plants are 8 inches going into flower then its just fine to have 3x stretch.

Thanks for the info man. I planned on vegging for only 4-6 weeks depending how big they get. As you can see im extremely limited in height so thanks for the tip on the blue light.

Hey just another tip, I know it sounds crazy but if they are getting too high after tieing them down etc then don't be afraid to cut the top right off, go from the top down a couple nodes and cut it, you could clone it if you wanted. Try to do this no later than 2nd-3rd week of flower.

Good info. Except the sexing. As soon as the seed develops it's already male or female. It doesnt change, and there' nothing you can do to change. It either got the x or y chromosome. When the female was pollinated.
