Blue himalaya autoflower

Hey y'all.... I just got the ok from my wife to start a grow so I've really got to make it count. (Never can tell when that'll change) Anyhow, I have started with short stuff blue himalaya autoflower seeds (not feminized...my fat finger hit the wrong button) . Of 10 seeds, 7 have germinated... 2 are females & have begun flowering. 2 were males and were banished. The other 3 have just sprouted. I also have a single sprout from a bagseed under a timed (T-9)light. All of the blue him plants (including the sprouts) are on 24/0 hps (280w). My question is will my sprouts be ok like this or should they be under the timed (18/6) T-9s ?

18/6 for everything until 12/12 flower.
This is my first grow so please bear with me. Everything I've read about these dwarf autoflower plants says 24/0 throughout the grow. Is this wrong? I think because they have such a short growth period (supposed to be ready for harvest in 70 - 80 days from germination according to the supplier)... did I make a mistake?

You know Bill, I've never done an autoflower.
Perhaps you have something there, but even in nature, there are dark periods for autoflowers.
But no, there was no mistake made. It will grow and flower and yield. Maybe even more based on your point.
