First grow details: I'll get you caught up rather quickly with one post to cover germ, sprout, and current veg state.
I planted my first 9 seeds inside the starter plugs on 1-22-18. I had my first sprout on 1-26-18 and the rest began to come in within the next 72 hours.
On the 28th I replanted a new seed into plug #8 to see if it will grow and catch up. (I'm checking the plug moisture every 24 hours.
2-5-18 I changed my water and administered my weekly prescription.
My chart system:

First view of sprouts 1-26-18

Week 1 grow view
20180206_003415.jpg

Week 1 water change / feeding (replaced water, lowered level to 1/4" below nets, added grow A-B 20ML each per gal at this water level it holds 2 gallons)
20180205_114034.jpg

Week 1 roots (you can also see the air stones I used)

Seed 8 still hasn't broke the surface yet, I suspect the plant will either catch up or not grow at all. Having 8 out of 10 seeds get going is a pretty good ratio if you ask me.

If you nail everything you could probably get 4 onces more or less outa there.

I grew in a 5x5x5 box for years with a 1 k digi

I would regularly hit over a pound in there.

Looks nice and clean

Was that dry weight?

I might have to duplicate this set up or expand to a larger set up if the yields are that low. While I wouldn't need that much at one time, I think I could be self sustaining if I could have a second box and try to time a split where I was drying once a month. At least that's my goal.

Do you ScrOG in your box? I made a top line in the box based on what I read about keeping the tops at least 6-8 inches from the light. Wondering if adding netting across the middle of the box would be better to do or do they sort of naturally do that in a set up like this?

Nice man! What strain you running?
Well right now I'm not exactly sure.

The past few years I've been saving seeds, however, I didn't keep them very well. I didn't separate them or label them, I just put them in a farm to vape baggy I had laying around. I think I'll call this first grow the salad bar lol. I'm hoping that I have some colorful flowers come up. Strains I've stuck with were Plat OG, Girl Scout Cookies, Royal Purple, Fire Cookies, Green Crack, and GG OG-#4. Probably have some sour diesel in there too.

I'll be posting photos so when they start to bloom it will be interested on what features come through and if I can get help identifying them here or via google image searching. Monday is my next grow update and I'll be taking some photos of the progress.

Week 2 is in the books and onto week 3.
I've had some low level foliage have some spotting, slight curling, and a little yellowing. Did a lot of surfing for solutions here in the forums. Adjusted my nuts and they seem to be back on track. The downside is net #8 never took. Tried 2 seeds both failed to launch. Oh well, at least these girls are looking nice. Here's some photos for your viewing pleasure. If you see something that you think I need to watch please comment and let me know so I can stay on top of any issues that might appear.

Still way too early to have any type of identifying marks. But when they start to flower It will be cool to see those who happen upon my journal to share their opinion on what strains they might look like. (8 seeds took, it's likely that there might be 5 or 6 different strains growing at once since my seed collection is literally an unlabeled container of randomness.)

Thats a cool cabinet you made. I just worry for you that they will bet to big from seed. Its going to take some time for them to sexually mature and they are going to get massive in flower.. But I hope I'm wrong and hope it works out for you. I'll check by to see how it goes

Are you recommending growing clones only in a box? I'm not sure what you mean about growing from seeds.

Yes that would be my recommendation, or a single plant with a scrog. I think you are going to have space issues with that many plants in such a small area, especially in DWC where the growth rate is exceptional.

Thats just my worthless 2 cents though. I could be totally wrong

Yes i used nets .

Being such a small cab you could probably just top and train a plant to fill it up without one
I've got a fol question. sun leaves are really fighting each other should I trim them and let the thicker fol gather the light or should it sort itself out?

I will definitely keep that in mind. I suppose that this cab if used from seed could be a smart early staging area and in week 4 move the current set up to maybe a 4x4 tent or something similar. Appreciate the input, I'm making notes of suggestions and then researching the options. It's all a learning curve and this forum so far has been very beneficial with the vast amount of threads.

The problem with growing from seed is that they aren't going to flower until they become sexually mature. I'm worried they will get to large for your area by that unless you cut them way back. Just something to consider if you weren't already aware

It wont hurt a thing if you pull a leaf or few lol

People get all up tight about it but i guarantee everyone does some type of trimming whether they talk about it or not lol
