I was raised on stories about being a descendant of Polly Parrot, a famous Creek Indian from here in NW Florida. She refused to be shipped out west during the Trail of Tears, and the Creek word for the place they hid out {in Jackson County Florida} sounded like Bogs, so over the years, her group became the Bogs family, which I am kin to. {our local Chief's mother was a Bogs} I did mess around with the Creek religion for 20 odd years.

But last year the wife and I got our DNA tested with 23 & Me. Turns out I am 98.5% Western European. Less than .1% African or American Indian. lol I am one white ass mamma jamma.

I still will ask the Grandfathers to bless a big undertaking {like planting seeds}.
If there are things like spirits and stuff your better to have them on your side than against you.
The area i grow is a special place for the local tribe, there a sacred site on the hill next to it and i've spoke to a couple of the old guys about doing my thing there and they just laughed and said i'd probably spent more time in the bush than any of them lol but they appreciated the show of respect and they ended up taking me to a couple of other cool places i didn't even know existed and i've lived here for over 30 years.

That is pretty cool. These days all the Creek Indians here can be found at the Baptist church on a Sunday morning. I kind of hate them loosing their religion. {not that I have anything against Baptists. If you can sleep at night, you have the right religion} But I do enjoy the natural aspect of it. I use herb smoke to signal my prayers. They used tobacco.

It is kinda sad to see people losing their traditions but as long as a there is a few that hold onto them they aren't lost forever.

Im not sure if its a spiritual presence or what but i never feel alone in my gardens always feel like im amongst friends.

Not that i like to chop my friends up into little pieces an burn them tho.

kinda funny i dont normaly talk to plants of any kind but often catch my self talking to my dacca plants. Like "oh fuck look at you, your looking so happy today arnt ya" or some shit.

i mean if i seen someone greet a random plant i woukd think they were half mad. but i feel having a full conversation with a cannabis plant is completely normal.

Or maybe i just been living in tve bush to long ha ha

That sucks. I have strains that I only have 3-4 seeds of. I'm always afraid some random shit like that will clean me out.
