There are several UVB supplemental lights currently on the market. Was also checking out California light works; they have both LED and T5 style models that are standalone fixtures or they have integrated UVB light bars into a few of their led models. Something to think about...
In other news results are in for the most recent set of plants vetted for sex. Out of 9 plants 7 turned out to be female...a personal best! Blunts and beers for everyone....
Since we talked about uvb the other day I've been doing research. I'm not sure what I'll go with yet. I'm moving in about a month and setting up a new grow. Like the most legit grow I've ever had, controls for everything. So adding uvb makes sense if I'm throwing everything into it. I just don't know if I can bring myself to drop 500 a piece for the led/uvb bars, when I'm going to need 4-6 of them. I'm already a few g's into this venture. I keep coming back to the ones you posted. I'll definitely let you know what I go with.

Sounds like luck is on your side, 7 out of 9 is pretty good numbers. Right on man.

I've had twins out of cannabis seeds before. It happens.

Plants look good.
Thanks! Hey d'ya ever see double twins before? I am fairly certain I only seeded this cup twice; first seed did nothing after awhile so dropped another bean in there and now it's a four banger!!'

And so far only one of these has shown it's a girl...

Weird. But a good sign; of the other 5 that were flipped along with this plant 3 so far were boys.

Was looking at these new hortilux eye power veg T5 bulbs. Badass! They run in a regular flourescent T5 fixture. $30 on Amazon and you can mix & match UV, or reds, blues, etc to fill gaps in your spectrum or build a custom combo. Thinking about using 2 bar a shop light & addng uv bulbs for finishing plants.

Those are pretty sweet. I have some 4 foot t5 fixtures laying around collecting dust too. Thanks for the heads up.

I haven't seen triplets or quads out of cannabis. I'm sure its possible since twins are.

One set of cannabis twins I had was weird. One was bigger and further along.

I've also had seeds not come up and plant another only to have the original one come up a couple up pots later.
For the record the quad plant ended up two girls two boys....may the odds ever be in your favor

I just got an e27 socket uv led off amazon that seems pretty sweet :)
At least, it appears visually bright. Is that misleading because it means much of the light is in the visible?
It advertised 30w but draws 15.7w

Use it for finishing plants in the final weeks. If it doesn't work at least maybe your black light posters will look cool. You don't need much added UV light to increase resin production or so I read. I just ordered 2 eye hortilux "power veg" FS + UV 4' light bars for a shop light fixture myself; should come in next week.

So I now have a 4 ft 4 bulb yield lab T5 installed as a side light in the bloom room. It has 2 eye hortiluxe full spectrum plus UV bulbs and 2 agromax 10k finishing bulbs. I placed the 3 most mature plants under it so we will see what happens. This is in addition to the 600w hps and 2 small leds I've been using for years now. I can fit more plants now too; time to get cracking filling in all this extra space....pics coming soon

Dick does dank. Dank dicks (donkey) does good! Nice buds. Once a grower "gets it" & it all clicks...its second nature. Growing cannabis is so gad damn fun. I take breaks from smoking and partaking every now and again...but the true habit for me is growing the stuff. I cannot and will not ever stop growing. Every crop...and ive grown SO MANY crops over the years...I try and do better in some way. Challenging myself and my equipment. It truly is an obsession.

I agree, I'm sure I haven't been growing as long as you guys but, I even do the same with my veggie garden too. There's something about growing plants that is very addictive. The science, the rhyme and reason.

Iam convinced that a real deal true blue veggie/herb/houseplant grower almost will always will slide right on in to cannabis cultivation. I did it ass backwards years ago. But my granny showed me the ropes. Yes.. She grew and smoked the ganja. And she applied her outdoor straight crops to marijuana. That ole broad could root a popsicle stick I tell ya. She showed me the inside knowledge of mycorizzhae before her or I called it that. She showed me how to root basil and tomato cuttings (we call them clones..she called them "slips") with willow branch soaked water. No shit. Iam convinced ole grandmas are thee best greenthumb masters hands down.

First pic is a purple God Bud x CMH pheno; imma reveg & clone her...she .smells like overripe figs dipped in jet fuel.
Next up is blueberry headband x Cmh I think; a bunch of beans got mixed up so no idea which is which.
3rd pic shows the plants under a T5 full spectrum 10k finisher + UV which is working perfectly. They are almost in week 8.
Next is a Candyman Haze(I think) in week 7.
Then there's a blue dream x Cmh started at the same time; this plant was never topped just pinched at every possible area which formed a single baseball sized bud which you can't see in this pic very well.
Finally there's a shot of the whole bloom area with all the lights in full regalia.
The girls were mighty thirsty as you can see and a few of the taller fans got singed from the hps being too close. This room is now over powering two carbon filters; got to go get some more glade plug in refills so my kitchen doesn't smell like roadkill. Thanks for the warm comments and for checking out my grow peace
