Hey guys.
I have 2 seedlings of bubblegum going. They sprouted exactly a week ago. Since then I have had them each under there own 6500 cfl to get them going. I also have a 400 watt led that I have not turned on yet. I am wondering when you all think would be a sufficient time to turn that on? Now? Wait a week?20180206_060156.jpg 20180206_060216.jpg

Thanks!

I'd say you still have a little time under those CFL's. I would wait till they get about three or four more nodes then look into transplanting them into a larger container, then fire up that LED.

You could fire them up at a distance now. I would let them stabilise more. I only deal with clones anymore in my perpetual garden, but i give them 10 days from the time i see roots before they get big boy light.

That's what I was initially thinking. Put on led when i transplant to bigger pot. Thanks! Thinking I might keep the cfls on for side lighting too

Good to know. Thanks! Thinking about taking some clones off of one of these eventually.

I take my clones last week of veg when im getting plants ready for bloom. That gives me enough time to cut, root stabilise them, and get them to a 1ga pot ready for main pots. That way the day I harvest they go right in with one week out of the way. Thats just my setup and strain timing.

I am strongly debating getting another tent and light so I have a veg tent and a flower tent.

Well if you figure out the timing you can makeshift something till you get a tent. I clone/stabilise in this box. Im all in 50 bucks on it. Its portable and it does the job for the two months i need to hold them while I bloom current grow. Get creative, youll save money and maybe find something that suits your needs better than another full setup. This setup easily holds 100 clones, snd 15 1g pots. I never can grow 15 at a time so I go with 8.

That's a slick set up man. I think I'm gonna try that out. What light are you using in that bin? Thanks a lot for your tips!

Its just a cheapo from amazon 45w. Think i paid 27 bucks for it. The box holds two very nicely. The bin is 18 bucks at wal mart and the dowels are there too .27 cents. You could get a cheap heating pad from good will or cvs like 8 bucks if needed. Im in AZ so its always warm enough in my house. Im sure there are better lights but it actually helps me timing wise to not flourish them while they wait for their forever home in my tent. And it gives me time to pot train them.

Home Depot has these 2’ Long LED strips I that are daisy chainable up to like 6 or 8 units. They claim it covers a 2x2 area and the white are 39.99 while the blurple ones are 49.99 for the 19w. the 30w is 59.99, 69.99; respectfully.

That is the 30w. Any thoughts for using these for cloning and vegging?
Id be interested to know myself. Not in the market for a light but, if anyone knows. I always keep emergency mngt in my mind.

I just wonder relative to your 45w, what the 30w puts out. Because it’s almost twice as expensive for 2/3 power output light just looking at the surface..
