Low Stink Autos?

I'm looking for a low stink auto strain that is Sativa dominate and SCROGable. I will be growing 2-3 plants under 225 watt LED in a 27"x52" area and will have a carbon filter setup, using Aero/NFT. The last two times I grew indoors the skunk stench was pretty brutal.

I've considered a hybrid or an indica for speed in my first run, just to get some bud in the jar and get some idea how good this light will work. I've been searching for a strain for a couple of weeks and saw "Pineapple Express" that sounds pretty good but I'm not sure how smelly it would be?

I also considered several Jack Herer crosses, Jack-AK47 being the best sounding. 60-75 days from seed seems like the honest expectation for most Auto's, though some are faster.

Any suggestions?

I ran Jack Herer from cropkingseeds. They stretch pretty good.

You should have no smell with a carbon filter. You may have air leaks If your getting a “unfiltered” small.

I have considered the stretch to be helpful in the scrogging. With Auto's being short lived, can they be successfully scrogged? Sativas seem to take longer and that may be of benefit, as it will allow more training time.

I have disregarded anything with a Skunk ancestry for potential smell problems and Hazes for their length of time in flower. Does any strain not stink?

Yeah the stretch helps fill a scrog for
Sure.

I have a amnesia haze air in a small scrog and It’s full.

If your space is small you may have to turn the scubber fan down so the carbon can activate with the smell. If it blows through too quick it is pretty smelly.

That being said mine are on week 8 and it just started to get a funk in one spot going down the stairs :D

Fist 20min the fans on I can get a little smell. But I blame that on my 2 1/2yr old filters.

I look at it like waking up the the smell of fresh coffee

Since January, and the rules change, I have noticed a significant rise in the number of skunk smells in my suburban neighborhood.;-) I just don't want to contribute to the chaos.
My space is ~70-80 cuft, once I get the roll up panda film door on, so I was figuring a 194 cuft/min fan and a 4x12" filter should do fine, with a 4" intake with a 100 cuft/min booster fan.

Anyone have experience in low stench strains?

I suggest passive on the 4" intake instead of a booster.

you want to maintain negative pressure on the tent to control odor.

run the 4" inline and carbon filter 24/7 and you will be good

Perhaps running the inline booster into a 4" scrubbing filter and then use another 4" filter on the exhaust line would eliminate the smell? 4" filters are pretty cheap on E-Bay.

Duct booster are not really effective at pull/push threw a carbon filter.

I have that set up right now. And it dose not do dick.

Run a 4”inline fan sucking threw a filter inside the tent. Use a fan speed controller turned to low.

Slow steady draw like that will keep smells sucked up.

Thanks for the info Bookush34. It caused me to research fan controllers and I found them in the $10-12 range.

So I guess the consensus is that all dope stinks and there is only one way to deal with it, filter or suffer?

I'm looking forward to smoking my own grown. I bought a $35 1/8th from a local dispensary and it was pitiful. I've smoked Mexican brick weed that was better.

All weed dose have a smell.

And carbon filter is the most common. I have read ozone generator works good. But don’t know anything about them.

Just harvest this 73days Quarterpounder Auto. Very little smell and Cheese Auto same thing very little odor

What seed bank did you get that from? 73 days sounds very good to me. Last grow I did was Super Lemon Haze and it took 15 weeks in Flower!

I just went thru all their Auto selections and found several that sound good. What kind of light did you use with those? I'm going to be using a wimpy 225 Wall Watt LED but down low to get the goodness concentrated.

4 50v cobs at about 73watts each pushing 1400ma it’s pretty bright. Resin production wasn’t awesome. Only on the buds and small sugar leaves. Could be the 3500kelvin I don’t know. Might be strain related. It’s a nice light at 404 watts counting 3 fans

I was gifted a clone by an RIU friend. It was left over and lonely, so all four inches of her is vegging in my new clone/seedling hood now at ~300 umoles of LED and 72 degrees.
The Strain is indica and called Lemon Tree. it appears to have tight nodes and is sort of bushy, at 4" tall. She does not have any white things or black things on her leaves, but she is in quarantine until I see how she does. Also my Auto seeds haven't arrived yet so until they arrive, Miss Lemon Tree is my grow. Interestingly he said she will smell uniquely like citrus? We shall see if she does.

In the mean time I ordered the Tangerine Dream and Northern lights Auto's, hoping they will not stink up the place. Growers Choice said they were ~7-9 weeks germ to harvest. We may see the Thread "Three Girls In A Bath Tub" soon.
