Thanks, Merry belated X-Mas to you as well. Hopefully you find a keeper pheno you like out of the pack. I just had 4 out of 4 clones root for me in about 9 days. I used olivia's cloning gel, rapid rooters, and just RO water with about 75PPM of Dyna Gro Foliage Pro in a spray bottle, plus a heat pad.

12/26/17 Update

Watering Info - Mixed a light solution.
  • 4 Gallons R/O / 10 PPM
  • 10ML Protekt / 20 PPM
  • Unknown amount of Calimagic, used 200PPM
  • 25ML Coco A
  • 25ML Coco B
Final PPM 600, PH was around 6.4 so I lowered it to 6.0. They only drank about 1/2 of what I mixed up so I'll water in the rest tomorrow or Friday. The watering after that will have biocozyme, jumpstart, kelp, and recharge. As a pest preventative I'll water in some azamax in the next week or so.

Nice grow Brother @smokebros
Do you generally feed every watering or alternate - Feed / water / feed etc?

Sup!

Still looking great in here, man. bummer about the nanners. On both strains would suggest environment i guess? Weird!

Ive actually just pulled a plant out of one of my flower tents on week 4...one of the Grape Gods was deffo on the turn..obvs the biggest nicest plant too...grrrrrrrrr!

Interested about the triacontanol, ive had some in powder form in the fridge for nearly two years...needs big time diluting to like 5ppm or something?! Ive never used it.... have you used it before?

Often thought about giving flood and drain a go...probs cause of Vader. look forward to seeing how you get on with it, dude.

The only product I've used that I know for sure has triacontanol is Jump Start from Growmore, so I have limited experience in that area.

Yeah, I was a little bummed about the nanners for a couple days but they've rebounded really well. Both plants are just frosting up like crazy, even developing frost rails and frost on random fan leaves too.

After this round of growing is over I'll be overhauling the grow area. The 4x4 will be coming down and be replaced by a custom framed up insulated room that I'll build. I'll likely do a 5' wide x 4' deep x 6.5' tall type of design. I haven't gotten far enough in the design process yet, but I'd like to upgrade to something better than a tent.

So far the small flood table is working great. In the 24 hours since bumping up the EC and changing out the reservoir to canna coco A&B the plants perked up tremendously. I figure if I throw them in flower this weekend, they'll be ready to harvest in early April... about 4 weeks after I harvest the 4x4. Once that's completed I'll do the growroom overhaul, take a little time off, and be ready to start up again sometime in early summer.

Yesterday I finished building the 32 gallon reservoir that's connected to my RO system. It's so BADASS! I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. Quite simple to put together and finding the parts wasn't too hard. A simple T-shape connector for the RO water line, a 1/4'' float valve, and I also used an inline on/off valve that you can't see in the photo. The spigot I installed was optional, and I recommend using lots of thread tape if someone is going to build something similar. I'll likely assemble another one of these water reservoirs in the near future and if I do I'll probably just skip the spigot since a simple 130GPH water pump does the same thing. foto_no_exif.jpg

Since the plants are in coco I feed nutrients with every watering. The standard watering practice I follow is about 2 gallon of water per plant every other day. They're in 10 gallon smart pots btw.

I did a light "flush" or nutrient "leaching" a week or two ago, I'd have to look back through my journal. I poured a gallon or so of straight RO water into each pot before my normal watering of 2 gallons each with nutrients. I only did this because I noticed my runoff was slightly higher than what I was watering in, meaning there were some salts built up in the rootzone that needed to be leached out.

I'll do another light leaching at the end of this week (week 6), and then back down the nutrients to about 1.2 - 1.4 EC to begin week 7 while still continuing to feed every time I water. I'll gradually lighten up the feeding strength over week 7 until I get down to about .6 - .8 EC. Then just straight water weeks 8 and 9.

Alright alright alright, I'm back with another update.

Clones have gone absolutely crazy in the last week. These first two photos are taken 8 days apart. The six clones were transplanted shortly after the first photo was taken. They were all fim'd a few days ago and will be put into flower later this week.

nice rez! wouldnt mind setting myself up something similar, spend ages waiting around waiting for the plain RO sometimes.

everything's looking great, GDP looking sticky, how long does it flower for?

Flipped the 3x3 tent to flowering 12/12 today. The ladies are in a 32''x20'' DIY flood table that gets flooded once every 12 hours. Res is 10 gallons and has had zero PH fluctuations. I

Thanks bud. It was easy to setup and the spigot I installed wasn't necessary whatsoever. It's nice to just constantly have 30+ gallons or RO water at my disposal at any time. Once I put the flood table in the 4x4 I'll need about 20-25 gallons alone for that res so I might end up making another RO holding container.

GDP #2 appears further along , she's got about 14-21 days left. GDP #1 has about 21-28 days left.

So GDP #2 looks to be ready in two weeks. GDP #1 looks like she'll need another three weeks but there's no rush on my end. Patiently waiting.

Last night I lowered the EC for both plants to about 1.3 and fed em as I normally would. Gave GDP #2 an extra 2 gallons of .7 EC water to begin leaching some of the salts out of the rootzone.

The smell is what some people might call "loud".

On a side note, the water PH in the flood table res seems to wanna stay locked in at 6.0. I'm not complaining though. I'm sure as the plants grow they'll be pulling more nutrients out of the water and the PH & EC will have some fluctuations. So far so good with canna coco A&B in the res.

sup! will probs knock up a posh rez after my break, seems like a good idea!

do you use cannas rhizotonic? im thinking about using it with the megacrop next run, skipped it this time. my root game is lacking

I currently don't use it, but it's in my shopping cart for my next purchase. 100% going to add Rhizo to my regime.

I need to get another light for the 3x3. The 130W Chinese LED isn't going to cut it. Going to have to determine whether I build a COB array or add a Quantum Board. Input is welcomed.

id go QB in a tent cause theyre easier to put together. im a DIY newb though

Or depending on how much of a rush youre in you could wait til either growmau5, greengenes or HLG drop their boards with the far red diodes in em that theyve all recently said are coming.

Very interesting. I'm going to look into this a bit more.

Ideally what I want for the 3x3 is LED's with about 250 horsepower. Two QB 288's would work, a few Vero's could do the trick, I'm even been looking at Citizens.

The issue is that I didn't really intend on flowering out my 3x3. Since I intend on taking a break in April/May I decided to flower out the 3x3 now instead of waiting until the 4x4 was harvested. Now I'm realizing that I just don't have enough juice in the 3x3 to flower them out unless I rob a QB out of the 4x4 or add another light.

GDP #2 looks to have about 10-14 days left so I could just ride it out until then, and once I harvest her I'll swap the QB.. decisions, decisions.

Why don't you build a 8 quantum board 132 frame at 2700k and 3500k mix....light each board at 30-40 watts and probably would light up that space.
