To prune... or not to prune??

I adjusted the larger plant. Also on the smaller plant, how far over should I lst it? It for sure won't bend as far.
Just that 1 bend will help you fill the scrog net a lot quicker. In a couple days you should be able to tie down the new shoots that are growing up and they will create more new growth. You could go on and on with this. WARNING! you could easily outgrow your space.

yea ive been worried about outgrowing.
i have an off topic also, i did a res change for them both yesterday. the taller plant took to it great. the smaller one did also, BUT it developed a TINY bit of root rot. so when i do res changes. i add nutes to water. let sit for about an hour, then check/adjust ph. im thinking because i let the water get ROOM temp when i put in new res. it was probably room temp a few hours. so like 70-72 degrees. is it possible this small exposure to room temp water caused the slight root rot?
no other plant is having a problem, i use hydroguard with my General hydroponics.

also, the roots were perfect RIGHT before res change.

They look fine...I've never had to deal with pythium root rot but have seen some in other grows...would be brown slimy and smell like 10 dead buffalo or as another person described as stinky socks...lol

Are those 5 gallon buckets? Just curious why you don't have 5 gallons of water in them. Your water line looks like half a bucket.

yea they are 5 gal, i can put 3.5 gal of water and it will be touching the bottom of the net pot, i have 3 gallons in each bucket, and the water is about 1.5 inch from bottom of net pot. should i add?

You can fill it to the 5 gallon mark now... The "Just below the net pot" is when you first start a new plant with very small roots and it makes the roots find water quicker. Your roots found the water so fill them up. Another bit of advice you could use to make things easier...Instead of running your airline thru the net pot. Drill a 1/4" hole just under the very top lip of the bucket. Makes for easy removal of your plants if you need to change buckets, check ph etc etc.. Also use black airline.. clear airlines allow light into the buckets.

i like this idea, its much easier to manage.. im using one airstone because its a bitch to work with. im using 4 inch cylinder air stones. you think i could have two?
I run two stones in each bucket unless I'm running a huge plant then I'll run 4 airstones. The more air the better. You will see a few grows on this sight where the plant looks like its drowning because they do not have enough air running into the water.

i could just add diluted nute mix to my current res to increase it right? im thinking of adding 1 gallon so it will be 4 gallons total. im concerned about my hydroton floating out of the top of my netpot, is this a reasonable concern? lol
also, is 4 gallons a suitable container and my pump good enough for two 4 inch cylinder air stones?
