So I have read on the forums during the times of harvest is when the plant would smell the most. But I haven't found exact instructions on how to keep stealth during harvest. I live with one other person in the house who I am keeping this from. Buying all the essentials like carbon filter and ona buckets.... The grow tent will be in a locked room and will be exhausting air during harvest. My plan around this time will be to close all the windows the carbon scrubber would exhaust in the room and I would place the ona gel outside the room and one as well in the living room. Are there holes in my procedure? Would adding a cheap ozone generator outside my tent help as well. I want to be extra stealthy. Better safe than butt rape.

the other person will know.
ona smells like weed now.

you could grow and harvest inside of a negative pressure enclosed place, with much air sucked out of
the area and exhausted into another area. that area will always smell like weed at harvest time though.

I'm thinking more of in the lines of outside my locked room? If I don't use ona will the carbon filter be enough? Was thinking of adding an ozone generator outside the locked room. This person is very snoopy. So maybe I need to kick my tenant out before I grow? and just tell them someone else will be renting the room. Or should I get a bigger carbon scrubber like 8"? Was planning on just a 4" since my tent is only a 2 x 4?

Give it time. The tennant will find out. Its hard enough keeping it from nosey neighbours let alone someone living in your home. Is the person not weed friendly? I would give them notice if I were you.

edit. is it legal to grow were you live?

She is kind of nosey and old.... Yeah for her own good and mine, I think I should tell her to move. I live in a country where it is not legal and getting caught can land you from 15 to life.... but a gram of good shit here costs $30 - $35, and $500 an ounce. It's fucked up and I am spending too much just one grow cycle will ROI me plus I will have bud for a year.

What if I just grow once a year.... maybe it won't be noticable.

oh forgot to add the persons room is beside the future would be grow room. I own the place though
Your fans well probably clue them in. They're not quite. If you can harvest in your grow environment with carbon filters, you can definitely reduce smell.

fans, pumps, going down there every day........

Even if you could contain 100% of the odors, she will catch on. But alas, you can't. It's easy to keep neighbors from smelling, but not someone living in a common area.

Best to just suck it up and buy it until she's gone. As a resident, she can grant access to the building without the leo's needing a warrant.

You might be able to do a closet grow in your room assuming it is in a different part of the house. 1 plant, keep it small, keep it to a strain that isn't known to be dank.

To be honest she is a stay in maid and i could fire her anytime and was thinking of just hiring someone to come in 3 times a week to clean the general house. I will just tell her i cant afford her salary anymore

And i just feel bad for the need to fire her because of these backward laws....

Just read this now I don't think I have the carpentry skills to put a hole in the closet for a closet grow. Maybe I should just buy one of those overpriced stealth cabinets.... And just making sound making a hole in the closet will arose suspicion.

I doubt those prefabbed cabs work worth a darn. Isn't there a forum on this site that deals with cab grows?

Lol, negative pressure, adequate filter, blaring tv 24hours a day to hide all the fans n shit.

Then there is the whole your clothes are gonna wreak.

And the roommate is snoopy.

If you pull this off you need to teach navy seals because you're the man

Good luck anyway

You are definitely not gonna keep it a secret from someone living in house, let alone someone with a job to access and clean the house Just a newly locked door will be instant tip off. I got nosy in-laws that don't live here. Left them alone for less than one hour of babysitting in my living room, they start asking about a keyed lock on my bedroom door.
Told them I liked privacy and to keep all the guns away from kids. No baby supplies in my room, why you checking? Lost serious brownie points that day. Pretty sure FIL may know, but at least plausible deniability and all.
For harvest, my 8x20 closet smelled for a couple hours anytime the plant left the tent, even for 30 seconds. Cutting down and moving to drying cabinet next to tent, it smelled overnight. If I open the closet door even once during that time my large bedroom smells as well.
