Wondering if you guys can help me out? Making a small cob unit for my aquarium and want to run 2 cobs on it. Citi 1212 clu048. Would an hlg-60h-c700 be a good choice?

I'd like to keep it under 100wand it doesn't need a very strong current, I'm not growing cannabis with it just keeping my aquarium plants happy.

Will that work for what I want? And that will put me around 70w total correct?
Correct. 2 x citizens, 1212s. 3500K Current 700mA Volt 33.9 power 23 watts
Hlg 60h c700 v range is 50v - 100v.
2 x 33.9 v = 67.8v. Which fits into the min max range of that driver for a total of 56 watts.
If that helps.....

Hey everybody who is using LEDs out there. Lets join up and start chattin about this and that. Figuring crap out. Seeing what works for you, but not me, etc. etc.

It would be much appreciated if only people who USE CURRENTLY leds for mostly full grows, or vegetative grows using only LEDs.

HID users, we already know you are better than us, and your buds are bigger than ours. But there is a first time for everything, and a new beginning at ever end of something old.

ALSO IF YOU ARE AN LED SALESMAN TRYING TO SELL YOUR PRODUCT THIS IS NOT THE THREAD FOR YOU! STAY AWAY! IF YOU ARE AFFILIATED WITH A COMPANY AND HAVE BIAS FEEDBACK WITHOUT RESULTS. STAY AWAY!

Thank you all, and I hope this thread EXPLODES in growth...

Hello
I do use LED lights for my full grow (from start to finish) what I would like to know is how far you have your lights from your plants. I am using 3 x 1500 watt LEDS and I can only get 15 oz per grow. I have always done 6 plants. I also lst and scrog as well. The reason I ask is because I have set my lights at 18 inches above my plants when in flower. So I was wondering if I would be better off going to 24 inches.
Many thanks
Yours Cindy

I don't think you will get an answer from that guy, he hasn't logged on since 2010.
But if your not seeing light burn or bleaching on your plants then stay as you are, unless your not getting even light spread and then raising them will help with that. :bigjoint:

What sort of space are you pulling 15oz from?

To double your yeild you need to double those lights.
But why not upgrade to something better to fill your tent with light?
Hlg QB's are really good, as are cobs.
You don't have to rush and buy all at once, some people can' afford to

This is good in a 2x2 or they have a 20% off 1st Feb I think on a hlg550 - 4 x qb, covers a 4x4 real nice..
Hi
I am going to get another light so I will have 4 in there and set them at 24 inches above my plants. I will have then like this. Hopefully that will work. Please let me know if you think I am right

Which other light are you getting, the same as you already have?
Yes , keep them about 2 ft away at start n let them grow into light.
My first leds were burples like yours but there are far better lights now that are white and they give you a lot more bang for your bucks.
Maybe save an Ounce of your grow to sell to reinvest that coin on a phased upgrade to cobs/QB'S bit by bit..... you'll not regret it :bigjoint:

people i need help.. two of these http://www.chinaledlighting.net/150W-LED-tunnel-lamp-IP65-waterproof-516.html or 4 single 1212 clu048 3500k 90cri ?

Depends what they cost and how hard you plan on running the 1212s, to cover what space ect.
You would have to run the 1212s pretty hard to get the 300w out of 4 of them and doing so would lose a lot of efficiency making the tunnel lamp more efficient.

So what space are you wanting to light up and what is your budget?
How much are the tunnel lamps?

I have one do it yourself 55w cob light, these 3 singke cobs are 1400 60w each.. I wanna put them in 1m2 tent.. For start 4 autofkower girls.. So each cob for one girl.. I'M NOT chasing 300w.. Budget is 350€ for leds .

Have a look at the ledgardener link a post above. Look at his 3x3 strip set up. You should be able to shave off a few dollars cutting out fancy hangers and heat sinks, I think you can just use aluminium angle for heat sink with strips. @Randomblame will be able to say for sure. That's if your interested in really lighting that space up and getting good efficiency to boot.
Going down the 4x 1212 route wouldn't be a great option other than just saving cash.

Nothing wrong with Citi1212's but 220w is on the low side for a squaremeter. But because automatics can handle up to 18-20h of lightning, the DLI should be good enough to get full developed plants. But with regular seeds 220w is really on the low side and you'll get no more than ~250-300g of popcorn bud. I would at least add another two COB's before you try to grow regular plants.

You Will Do Just Fine With Citi's In Your Setup. If You Look At My Citi 1812 80 Vs 90 Cri Grow I Use 250 Watts For A 2.5x3 Area And My Buds Are Rock Solid :weed:
