Starting Seeds for a Stinkbud Aero/NTF

I want to start some seeds for an Blueberry Auto grow in a Stinkbud Aero system. I can pop them in paper towels, but how do I get them grown up enough to put in my netpot? Can I put them in a rapid rooter and put the rapid rooter in the netpot, or will the rapid rooter cause the seam to rot?

Anyone?

You can germinate the seed whatever your method is, paper towel, cup of water etc.

Place into a rapid rooted, jiffy pellet or something along those lines.

I'm not familiar with a stinkbud system and I'm lazy right now to google and learn about it right now.

Roots will grow out of rooter, down towards your water misters or bubbler setup and start feeding them low dose nutes 25 percent strength a little after true lesves start to show.

Then onto the veg stage.

Well the system uses sprinklers to water the clones (see first sticky on the page) and I was concerned that the rooter might hold too much water around the stem and cause rot or other bad things?

I have friends that run theirs this way and have no issues, but maybe someone else could chime in.

Is this your first grow?

I use hempy buckets which is dtw

I Use rooters and then into my perlite mix, never had rot. And they sit in the buckets all their life .

I've done this with soil, coco and jiffy also, never saw rot, maybe someone else could chime in, more heads better than one

Thanks guys. This relieves my angst about seeds.
I have grown before several times but the best results were when I used the Aero NFT system a few years ago. With the recent Cali rules I thought I'd start my own grow again and wanted to try some Auto Blueberry, to get some weed quick. I've never tried Autos and thought that they might be the fastest way to get high. I can't afford the taxed stuff or even the street weed. I hear the indoor sells for $200 an Oz and outdoor sells for $100 now! My local dispensary is selling1/8's for $40-$60 each! Out-fucking-ragious!
I'm just too cheap and poor to pay those prices, when I can grow a pound for the cost of three Ozs! andd still have the equipment to grow more. Though I have to remember that my $10 lids in the 60-70's adjusted for inflation were $100 in 2018 Dollars! In 1969 I bought a new Mustang Mach I for $3,600.

Good seeds are expensive for me but I want good genetics so will have to find a good strain and get my cloner running, to work out how to speed up photo's. If I can get good yield from the Auto's and do a couple of rounds I may have enough to run some photos and get a perpetual going.

Just puts some grow stones
In between the net and the plug so it doenst get direct spray ..

When i made my nft (is what lpa is basically )

I laid my tubes out first then just put my spayers in like
Plants are o sprayers are x

Fill side. X-----O----×------o------×------o. Drainside

Now that being said i only use sprayers in my cloner.

Nothing will piss you off more then a clogged sprayer.

You shouldn't really get clogged sprayers as long as you're using a filter before the pump.
Umm ok i had a filter and still got salt build up in my sprayer heads but mabey you got that one figured out
Well good luck ill be watching

I've been using the same ez clone style sprayers for over a year, after every run I dump a gallon or 2 of bleach into the 20 gallon res full with water and let it run at least over night, idk if that is why I haven't experienced the clogging issue?

No clue nutrients ? mabey water make up.?

All i know is i would have clogged spayers before my run was finished and that turned me away from low pressure aero
that and a few other reasons

Or it could be that i had the same ez clone spayers but i had a really long veg stage

I know they arent my cup of tea anymore but i had plenty of good runs with them :)

I use synthetic nutes, and they're all the same. What kind of filter did you use?

Nothin speacial just a very fine micron paint strainer bag around my pump.

I used Advanced nutes too and they are a little thick definitely not as clean as synthetic salts.
Or gh 3 part .

No inline filter though ...

But my low pressure aero days are over.

It sucks trying to grow big in tubes
They are great for SOG though for sure and lettuce and strawberries it works great.

Ill try to stop hijacking though lol

I didn't use the fence posts, I just put a short ruff neck tub in a tall RN tub and ran my pump feed up thru the small tub and let the small tub hold the roots. I built a pvc cage up top to hold the plants up and ran eight plants in a tub. This time I'm going to run ~four plants in a ~2'X4' area and scrog them to keep the height down, eliminate the popcorn and concentrate on the top colas. If I can get 300-400 grams out of a run, I'll be more than happy.

No they dont.

Just make sure you dont oversoak them in your system and youll be fine.

But a filter is never a bad thing

So I guess splitting them and removing most of the used rooter will be necessary to prevent stem rot?
I'll pick some up today and try a couple of bag seeds that I found, to see how hard it will be to remove the rooter Not sure how old these seeds are but I don't want to experiment with $10 seeds!

No they will be fine with rooter in the system. If anything youll just end up hurting them

Just put a cheese cloth around your pump and not worry about it :)

I meant simply if they are seedlings you need to make sure you dont water log the rooter is all.

Dont over think it though just monitor it
