A 4 foot t5 would be better. The 2 footers work but just not as powerful. I have a 2 foot 6 bulb and it would maybe flower one decent plant.

I plan on using two 2 ft for flower one in veg using 2x2 for options...

My lamps have 16 bulbs not 6...
I do under stand that the foot print is still the same. But wldnt it possibly give higher yld due to more lumens..
Im also only producinge one flower plants.. In double stack one gallons
Basicly from clone to flower.
Hardly no veg so there is no branches

Why use 2 2 foot models instead of a 4 foot model? 2 foot bulbs are less than half the lumens of 4 foot bulbs.

I was just using the my 6 bulb as an example. I bought it to mainly veg with but gave it away. I used to flower with 4 foot t5s. There is a big difference in 2 foot and 4 foot. If you have the room use the 4 footer. More power and less bulbs to change. T5 bulbs need changing every 6 months or so.

I used the durolux models off amazon.

This 2ft 16 bulb is equivalent to 4 foot 8 bulb when i comes to lumens and watts
Yea the footprint isnt the same.
Ima use two for flower eventually.
Maybe check out my buddys led thats rigged for flower later on and see how it compares.
What light do you use currently?

Its not all about lumens. Do as you want. The 4 footer would be better. It would just do a better job. Its no biggie. What ever floats your boat.

I use a couple different leds now. One is a geyapex with four citizen cobs at 50 watts each. The other is a unit farm with cree and osram diodes.

Shld i invest in powerveg bulbs or will these have the same spectrum and run at same temp?

6500 is ok for veg, but you need something 3500 or lower to flower under. the big difference will also promote stretching, i'd just go ahead and get 3500K bulbs for the whole run, grow shorter more compact plants, and a lot less stretch when you flip

I prefer mixed spectrum from start to finish. Look at Agromax bulbs from htg supply. They are a lot cheaper.

I did order agromax bloom bulbs.
I had jst read something today saying they run much hotter than others..

Also wondering if the bulbs that come with it say they are 6500 kelvin.. Are they as good as other blue-white bulbs?

With the 8 bulbs I ran 2-veg, 2-bloom, 2-pure par, 1- 10,000k+uva and 1- generic 4200k. You could double that mixture.

These were grown under 8 bulb 4 foot with the bulbs I mentioned. 15 inch wide pots.

Ive got 8 agromax 3000k and the 16 6500k that came with it
I was considering getting another spectrum bulb.. So you think i shld add a some pure par and 10k UVA?

Those are nice man. Im thinking of doing SOG so no veg hardly and shooting for cola only.
Idk jst think i cld get more yld from the space that way

Since im Thinking SOG im probably going to use square ones so i can put more in the space havent decided what size they will be yet
Yes. 15 inch wide. Those were autos so I used bigger pots.

Htg has some nice grow bags cheap. I got 100 of the one gallon for 10 bucks or so. Get either the 1 or 3 gallon. They are cheap.

Is it true t5 doesnt produce dense..
Only fluff..
Or does that jst come down to skill and genetic?

The buds in the pic I posted were hard.

It is part strain and part grower. Temps play a role. If its really hot the buds will be a bit more fluffy.

Im glad to hear that.
Is it abt the same with LED?
Ive been involved in many hps setups.
and yield and density were never an issue if every thing else was on point.

Yes i didnt include temp as a factor because its t5 and it will have AC coming in throu the duct if needed

Thx for all your patients And input
