Pics are great but interested in your observations. From your experience how do you feel they compare at this point? Have you tried 3000-90s? Id be interested in a grow comparing 4000-90s, 3500-90s and 3000-90s. Are you sold on the higher CRI, if you had to choose just one color?

I Have Experience Only With The 4000K 90 Cri And the 35000K 90 Cri. The 4000k 90 Cri Is My Favorite Spectrum :hump:

That 90cri is awesome only because there are more reds and deeper reds in it, the whole spectrum Peak is in deeper reds which seems to boost bud output. May also finish a bit quicker. Seems that way at my house.
I've Also Found This To Be True In My Grow Room As Well. :weed:

How about yields 80 vs. 90 cri
The Biggest Factor In My Decision In Running The 90 Cri Was 7-12 Days Faster On The Flowering Time With No Loss On Weight bongsmilie

The the thing that surprises me the most is that straight from clone the 90cri has it's benefits. While practically every growlight manufacturer is talking about adding more blue in veg and nobody really talks about the benefits of adding more deep red in veg. I just see everyone vegging under high K low cri

But this test to me does prove without a doubt, we are better off adding some 630 and 660, or use a 90cri straight from clone/seed and not just in flower!

On top of that you say you also need that blue, that's where the 4K comes in? Good choice.

By the way, I also built a fixture with 15 CXB3590 COBs and 2 of them are replaced by the red meat 1211 Chips. Just for fun :)

But I also bought 3 MARBLED MEAT chips, just to experiment with. These have the deep red but also have more blue and some green..
And the red peak has moved is even more into the deep red. Possibly overkill but I thought hey lets just try it out, maybe they work as an allround solution?

Should be interesting to see what they produce, but I doubt their PPFD is up there though. I don't really know how to read the charts but they seem to have a way lower output/W than a typical white COB, am I right??

Have you found this to be true even without any supplemental red added?
Brother I'm An Old School MH Grower From The 70's. HPS In My Book Stands For Hot Piece of Shit. Yes The 4000k Has Always Been My Favorite Spectrum To Grow With. Below Is My 5x5 Which Consist Of 2 4000k 80 Cri And 1 5000k 70 Cri Plus I Just Found An Old Cmh Sleeve. The Reason I Run 90 Cri's is I Want The Extra Bump In The 630-660 Range Through Out My Grow bongsmilie

I still have several 250 and a couple 400 watt of those CMH lamps that have only break-in hours on 'em. HPS with CMH was my last stop before a51 and then COBs.

Interesting, I tried some cxb3590s 4000 70cri last year and wasnt impressed. Maybe I was doing something wrong. They are collecting dust now. Plants look good!

I Know Alot Of Ppl Did This Back In The Day With the MH And HPS. Like I've Said Before I Didnt How My Plants Responded To Hps So I Saw No Reason To Try This Growing Method. When I Started Back Up Again After Taking A Long Break The Cmh Made Alot Of Sense To Me Plus The Cmh Open My Eyes And Lead Me To Leds :weed:
