Nice!
It's great to see you up and running :D
Don't be afraid to put the lights closer, if you like but what do I know lol.
Keep the pictures coming and good luck with your grow mate :bigjoint:
Thanks mate. I will have a tweak with the lights etc tomorrow. The strips might be a bit too far apart...I'm not sure but like I say, I'll have a play tomorrow.
I will def keep the pics coming....I don't wanna fail with this grow!
How's your shed gals coming along?

yeahhhh man! nice lil build (: officially in the led game and ahead of most of uk420! (: get the flux meter out on your phone maybe? its not the best way obviously but you'll get a rough idea. niiiice one
Thanks mate. Yeah finally got myself some proven tech and can retire the blurples (: Got myself a handheld lux meter - see comment #198 (: - which I think is fine, considering I know the spectrum.
I think the 2 strips are too far apart and I considered moving them closer. I then thought it's probably better to just buy another strip and add that, so that's what I'll do in the coming weeks. It'll be fine as it is for a grow or 2 though.
So happy it's done. Now to build the light for the flowering space. Got the strips so just need the ali channel and I'm ready to go.

That doesnt take much tho does it lol

Looks good, nice and clean but im not seeing a carbon filter mate.
Cheers mate (:
"You'll never grow decent weed with LED's, especially those tiny mid-power ones" ......damn I wish I'd listened to those guys and bought myself a heat lamp...NOT lol :D

I'm not gonna have a filter for the veg cab, I really don't think I'll need one...BUT if it turns out I do then I can add one easily enough. I'm never gonna have more than 3-4 plants plus a few seedlings in there. If I was having 10-20 plants then I think it would be different.
If you think I'm wrong on that then I'm happy to be told so (:

Haha!
..good and proper, LOL! Hopefully you did not cut the same thumb again!!
Girls still looking good and healthy and seems to like it.
Keep up the good work, mate ... (and put the knife back in the drawer, Lol!)
Thanks Rb! No the thumb got sliced just the once, thankfully. And my back is recovering too (:
I've spotted a couple of yellowing leaves so think it's time to feed them. They went into the compost 18 days ago so it makes sense that they've used up the nutes in the soil, so time to add more. I'm using Mega Crop for the 1st time so I'm going to go easy with it and see how the girls respond. I'm also using Mammoth P and a touch of phyto hormone - Brassinolide - so it'll be interesting to see how it all works together!
I'll keep the updates coming so we can all discover the progress as time goes by! (:

Id deffo be using a filter or you can always vent your veg setup into the flowering space. I always did that anyway to save me using heating too much on lights off over winter.

e2a i wouldnt have a veg space packed out in late flower doing the above tho or humidity can go too high .

Cheers mate, I'll bear it in mind and see how it goes with the smell. I've seen some really small extractor fans that are 'bout the size of a bog roll but have plenty of "whoosh" (As @lukio calls it (: ) so could use 1 of those. Could do with a small 4 inch filter about the same size but they all seem to be quite big/heavy.
The veg cab is going in my bedroom and the flower space is my kitchen pantry so it isn't possible to vent from veg to flower space unfortunately.

Actually, that is one good feature of these long panels. You put a Vero29 down on the carpet and you will start a fire in a few seconds.
We light our smokes with the light coming out of the COBs when we are stuck in the grow room.

Definitely want to avoid a fire! I'm glad my wiring hasn't let me down thus far (:
