Ok guys I'm finally getting this round started :) , here/s a quick rundown of what I'll be using this run.

I'm growing in a 4'x4' Ipower tent with a 600w Ipower HPS in the middle flanked by a 4ft 2 bulb T5 fixture (80w each) on either side. I've only used this configuration for 1 previous run, but I liked the fuller spectrum I got from the mixed lighting so why not ;) . Also I have a 430cfm extraction fan and a 6" desktop oscillating fan for circulation and a big dehumidifier if I need it, but as I tend to run 24/0 I don't usually have the RH climb too high.

For media I've always used Sunshine Mix #4 and lately I've found the blue 50c WalMart recycled plastic grocery bags make a fine soft pot :) . I put a generous 5gal of media in a bag and have room to spare, and they hold shape pretty well after a few rounds of watering.

I was lucky enough to win a large bag of Mega Crop , a kick-ass complete plant food that has all the primary and secondary nutrients as well as kelp, L-aminos, chelated silica, b-vits, chitosan, etc etc etc.... I really like the stuff, very simple and the plants I've run so far seem to like it too so I'm going to continue to use it for this round and many more.

So I think the last point for me is the strains. I'm running 3 of the 3 Bears OG, as well as 1 Alien vs Triangle and 1 Double Grape. I'd like to pack in a few more, but I think I'll wait and stagger starts aiming for a half tent harvest per month..
Sounds like a winning recipe.

Day 42

Both girls have a few slight deficiencies, especially plant 1 on the left. Hopefully I caught them in time and they go no further. Looking back to my Sour Livers grow it seems that even in the same soil they are wanting things such as calmag 1-2 weeks earlier than the livers did, and this has caught me out. I seem to be responding rather than preventing during this grow, but I will know for next time.

There is now a definite smell that hits you when you open the cabinet. I can also see trichomes with the naked eye.

I am not great at describing smells, but if I catch the stalks or leaves it leaves a smell not dissimilar to if I had rubbed a satsuma around in my hands. My wife has caught me a few time sneakily sniffing my hands after tending to them. It does smell really nice!

Hey guys and gals I have been watching everyone progress and have picked up a few things (thanks everyone) I have not been able to plant yet because although I moved back to SoCal almost two months ago I have only been there for about 5 days (work travel) but I will be home on Wednesday and will start them then.

Day 49

Nothing major changed this week, they are both still building buds. Seem to have caught the deficiencies showing last week, as no more leaves affected.

Tempted to remove some of the lowest deficient leaves to help airflow, especially on plant 2 on the right. She seems to have a lot of bud that is packed close together but all very low to the soil, more like a scrog effect, whereas plant one on the left has taller colas which obviously allow air to flow around them better.

Never grown purple plants before such as these are meant to be. Have I got 2 greener pheno's or does it turn in the last couple of weeks?

Both pots were very dry so they got a watering after I took these pics. Nearly made me late for work, as I also had to scrape snow off the car. Not much fun at 5.45am!
