Aficionado seeds

I think breeders and car manufacturers can charge whatever they want for their products and it's up to individual consumers to decide if it's worth it or not. If it isn't worth it they'll lower the price or withdraw from the market. I welcome discussion of whether or not Aficionado is worth the price.

I don't think there is any way the difference between buds from Aficionado's seeds and buds from $50 packs like Bodhi is as big as the difference between a Lambo' and a car that costs an order of magnitude less. I'm sure in many cases there is not much difference at all. In some cases you might like cheap ass seeds better because there's a lot of personal preference involved in Cannabis. I've only grown out one Aficionado strain so far, Long Valley Royal Kush, but they were pretty uniform and I still have one of them and have a cut vegging now.

Is Aficionado worth it? It's up to you but at least they're trying to offer something more than elite chucks like deliberate breeding and customer service. Based on what I know about them, I'm confident the elite cuts they do use are the real deal too.
Its more then just that, since you payed more for the seed, you can market.it to a collective for more or per customer. The legal market is booming.

Days of grams of 10-12 are no longer.
$12-$16 is standard.
With this $18-$20
Harvest 4 - 6 plants one pound.
Collective will take it for $4000.

So you say how you figure.
At min $15 x 450 gram= $6750
6750- 4000 = $2700
Reasonable profit for something you didnt put time and effort into.

Not me, I'm a head stash grower in a tiny torture chamber of Cannabis and my friends don't even know even though I'm all legal. Even so, my alternative is buying over priced mediocre buds from the store so even overpriced packs are totally worth it if the pack contains a great plant I want to grow for years. Also, I have enough gnats, white flies, thrips, scale, and regular aphids out on the patio so I don't need to bring home any presticide resistant spider mites, broad mites, or winged root aphids from the store. They have the same six cuts every time anyway.

People aren't going to pay top dollar for weed from strains they can grow for $5.
You can go out and get a $200 haircut, you will look just as shit as if you got the $10 cut, but someone will take your money if you want to spend it.

How much are these seeds going for?...lol
you can usually find good seed packs from 60-150$ depending on who and what you looking to get i wouldn't pay 700$ for a pack of seeds thats just crazy you could get like 5 packs and find many more keepers more selection to pick from is always good.
Some of the best plants i have found have come from freebies so there's always good plants out there for less.

Aficionado packs used to be $300, except for In The Pines which was $150. They've been selling out so they raised the price of packs to $350. Mandelbrot's Magnum Opus was $600 at release but now you can get it for $500. The market spoke and a breeder responded.

I think Mandelbrot's Magnum Opus has a high price in part to benefit Mandelbrot's widow and their son who has serious health issues.

OES isn't an Aficionado dealer and Toby explained in the OES thread that other people send the auction seeds to him and set the starting price, not him.

SPARC is a dealer, doesn't discount seeds, and I'll be damned if Aficionado doesn't have Minimum Advertised Price agreements. https://embed.getmeadow.com/organizations/68/products/6452
500$ is still over priced and so is 350$ These would have to be some jack and the beanstalk magic beans to warrant that type price tag and they are not.

Its like this

The average dispensary in Toronto has a static price of $12 - $18 a gram right now.
Now I have "heard" wont say I know lol, owners and others alike want some how do we say "private reserve" the same way aficionado has developed a market is the same way for marijuana sale and marketing. The ways and methods inputs you use might be more expensive then others..

Example..

The value you give to the customer and gurantee, that you don't spray with chemicals and can prove it with reciepts if needs be, that you have a 100% oraganic or even better vegan inputs, and also the genetics you have sourced out..
The problem is not the price I have seen, its keeping up with demand and supply.

In this day and age that we live in and with instagram and the JUNGLEBOYS, they sell 1/8 at $65.

I'll find the pics tonight or in the am, must be in recent history somewhere.
Nothing against hydro done right.
Maybe I judged too much on one fucked grow and they normally do better.
But the fact that they were proud of that pic worried me.
