Didnt realize they were autos. I heard autos werent as potent as photoperiod. Have you heard of this? I only heard it through the grapevine, but would like to learn more about autos as i know very little...
Very common "myth". Some of the strongest buds I have grown are Auto Buds, you just need to start with quality Genetics just like with the photo period plants. :)

I only get my Auto's from these guys:
https://www.mephistogenetics.com/

I am not trying to "push" any brand here. I have not tried nearly "every" brand of auto, but have a few brands and this gear is consistently the best and more of there beans pop for me than most any other brand whether auto or not. I'm coming up on a year of only Mephisto Strains for my Auto's, I recently used one to breed as well and so far the results have been good but that's another story lol.

Feel free to ask any questions. I don't know it all and don't pretend to, if I cannot answer I have a few buddies we can ask and get answers. This place is great if you get past the ego BS in one certain section lol. Have made a few solid friends on here :)
Coolip. Thx :)

So I got bored and looked through my stash for something to pop. I dropped a 5 pack of Feminized Vienna Skunk Seeds from Humboldt Seed Organization into water to begin germination.

The next run in the 4x8 will be all auto's and most likely (6) Sour Hound F2 from Mephisto as well as (6) Hubba Bubba Smelliscope also from Mephisto. The new year should start off with a busy garden :) Gonna need to take cuts of the veg tent soon as well.

I guess the sour hound is done it's in their strain guide but not the store anymore. Gonna have to make some seeds with mine that are germinating lol.

Following.

I'm really interested in both auto cobs, and mephisto.

I've grown photos for years, and am starting my first autoflowers now, thanks to a guy on here. They are a cross he made.

I've also been looking at autocobs, I think that they will work well in my space.

Ok, small update with no pics those will come later today.

I ordered the COB's I needed for the 4x8 so those will be coming in the near future. The plan is (6) Autocobs on each half of the tent in 3500K and I am going to move my auto's to the big tent, yes that's right my auto's lol. I am going to change things slightly with my medium and grow technique to test out. I will be mixing my organic soil 50/50 with Pro Mix BX and using Ionic grow and bloom at like 1/4 strength and feed once a week or as needed we will see. I am also going to use Ful-Power and Bloom Chaos together as a Foliar spray. I will be adding Hydroplex to the mix in bloom as well to the feedings in flower. I am going to run 3 gallon fabric pots and see how it goes. I have been finding with most strains I get the same yields with 3 or 5 gallon pots so why use more product than needed. Cal-Mag may be used we shall see how the plants do without it first.

In the future I will be looking at setting up some type of Blumat system and then my grow will be where I want it to be basically.

So here we go again let's see how this turns out. I am VERY happy with the way the two smaller tents are going now. I will finish the current auto's organically as they're close to being done and the veg tent I already started the transition to the new regimen with the last feeding.

I think that's all for now........... thanks for checking in :peace:

I'm gonna give the one sick looking plant about another week if not it's getting chopped, been real finicky it's whole life. Top center of the veg tent pic it's a Dark Plasma seedling from Ocean Grown seeds. There's two more going so........

Thanks for checking in

The breeding is really getting me hooked I love it, it's like being a mad scientist
I feel ya, breeding is totally driving my grows now. I have very limited space, so that's challenging. I also don't grow perpetually, only do two indoor grows per year, so the process of crossing and testing is a loooooong term project. But it's still the thing I'm most focused on.

I think it's cool you're using the single cobs, I've often thought that would be the optimal set up. I've taken my tents apart and reassembled them each a couple of times, and I swear the connection points are getting looser. Every time I bump into them everything swings around, I'm afraid if I had all my cobs on singles they'd go crashing into each other every time I unzipped the tent. My 2x4 tent will have 10 cobs in it, I don't think I could manage them hanging individually.

I'm currently setting up to rebuild my lights, it will be the fourth iteration of one of them! I've come full circle, and I'm putting them all (back) on one fixture. I've had grows with different height plants that make a single light difficult to live with, but I'm going to try and deal with it with other means -- either raising up the short plants on platforms, and/or super-cropping, or... whatever it takes. We'll see how it goes, it seems growing is an ongoing experiment.

Good to see you're finding a platform that you're comfortable with that works for you. I look forward to checking in and seeing how your continuous evolution goes :)

Thanks for the kind words. Its a lot of work but very rewarding and fun. Especially the breeding. To sit down and smoke something you created and at least it's as good or better than what you can buy is just awesome :)
