20171006_184205.jpg here's my stash. Left is sticks n crap. Middle is the nice sized nugs. And the right is all the larf.

Both the middle and right side jars have a moisture absorber of some kind in their guts. So the contents are a bit less than it looks.

Not too bad a run if I do say myself. Pity I thought I might have to cut it that soon though. Probably missed out on at least another couple grams.

Okay. So. It's been a while. And the updates are:

I'm down to probably my last 5 cones. I've basically been smoking myself glazed and enthused every day I can. Because why the fuck not?

Uh. I've got a new fridge. Meaning my old worn out one is now sitting vacant in the back yard. Internally it's probably 40 sq cm by about 130cm if you include freezer section. Might be too small to use. I definitely think the freezer would need to be gutted and re-insulated. As it's rather tiny.

I've got nothing inside right now. The mini has been all but completely dismantled. The light has been packed up. As have the cooling units. And the mega is sitting stationary.

Speaking of the big cab. I'm thinking of taking out the divider. And remodelling it. It's great that I've got a convenient spot to hold my sprayer and scrog mesh and drying rack... etc. But I figure my light is more than capable of covering the internal area. So why not use it? I can always put the grow gear some place else.

I want to see if I can figure out how to move the exhaust fan kit around. And bring the light over a couple cm more. I'm also hoping to make up some kind of small muffle box for the exhaust side of the fan. I'm not looking forward to seeing what the cable management will look like though. Other considerations are to reinforce the floor and to pad the back wall with some 4mm styro and 3mm plywood for noise/sound insulation.

Smoke reports on both...

Granny has a piney, citrusy fruit palette and aroma. The effect was a clear mind but more of a sit down and think sort. I found 3 viable looking seeds. Could have been 4. If I didn't grind it in half. Fairly decent plant for a random bag seed.

Pineapple chunk had notes of pepper and pineapple. The smoke was somewhat sharp. Buds were a lot more airy than that of granny. But the trichomes were denser on pineapple. It's a tasty smoke with a fairly level headed high.

Okay. So. I've now taken out that middle wall. Took fucking ages to do. Apparently the maker didn't want it to move like, ever.
As it had 4 bigass nails in the top and bottom. And a half dozen tacking nails up the side. I thought I was going to have to kick it out.

Grannies little clone is still going. Kinda got burnt by the heat a little bit a few days ago. But she's okay still.

I'm just working out the what and how of the interior design in this cab.20171116_132355.jpg

25/11/17.

Reconfiguration is under way. The paint job is by no means done. I ran out of paint really fast. As the can I used was what's left from the first time round. I'll finish that bit some time in the near future. Cant go half assing the working surface now can I.

I have the exhaust fan rotated 90°. Which has markedly improved the effectiveness of it. And it now vents perfectly out the back. Though it's also noisier too. Not really a problem unless there's the kind of visitor I don't want.

I've replaced the 1.5ft SCRoG mesh with a much wider, softer one. I've now got just shy of 4ft to populate with buddage. A decent upgrade indeed. Though the frame looks a bit funky.

I've noticed one of my cobs has a string of leds out. Doesn't seem to have lost much power from it. But, it's annoying to know they're now slightly damaged. I may or may not replace the light with a SOL SKIN or QB in the future. I don't know just yet.

I've yet to mount any of the other electronics. Still trying to figure out where's best to put it all. And with what to mount them with. That's going to be the fun bit I'd say.

And as for beans... I could either run grannies seeds. Or put in some of the Barney's Farm Pineapple Chunk I've got left. Or maybe something else. I've yet to decide really. I just know I've now got room to do up to 3, 12-20L buckets. 2 if I want space for the dehuey on the floor.

28th of November. Reconfiguration is 90% done. Just got to get the walls done a bit better. If I don't stick with paint. I'll get some diamond mylar/ panda film and line the area that gets lit up. 20171128_150821.jpgCurrently testing out how it handles in the heat. 27°c ambient- and currently 34°c inside the cab. Lights and exhaust at full tilt.

Looking good. My tent stays 10* warmer than the room does. I run a window A/C.

I dont even have an ac here. Let alone one spare to put in the room my cabinet is in.
Don't particularly want to be running one just for my plants either.

Temps seem to be about 10-15°c warmer in there. But that's at full tilt. I normally run my lights 70%<.

It's just me n my wife and we had an empty bedroom so her bird's live in there n I put my tent in there, then she wanted to throw away an old entertainment center, but I took it n turned it into a cab grow. Ixe got two spaces in it, one 2x2 n a 2x3. I'm not getting any weight but there's just two of us smoking n it saves us $400 a month. Lol

I am new on RIU but not new to growing. I have several cabinets and have tried multiple different coverings from mylar to panda. I only use flat white paint now (Kilz or Bullzeye with a roller). This is in all cabinets. You will never regret it. Putting up film on a wall just makes me pissed. I am a perfectionist and cannot stand wrinkles...white paint...clean like an operating room. Easy clean up. Love your mini cab...those are fun to mess with!

December 1st, 2017.

3x11L buckets seems to be the sweet point. 6 can be done. But doesnt leave much spread room for depth. And 8 looks ridonkulus.

15121216053921540774525.jpgJust got to put in some soil mix I've been cooking for over a year. Probably cut it with the other old buckets worth.

Looks great OP. White paint is nice if your setup would allow. I'm using a metal cab and sound/rattles vibrations with a good light seal is important to me. I couldn't use white paint since the inside is being layered with dampening. If your not going to use paint, just take your time and itll look clean.

Cheers man. Yeah. I ran out of paint during the space upgrade. I'm looking to get ahold of some mold & mildew resistant bathroom-kitchen paint.

Might even move the mesh a up a couple of centimeters. Make a little more room for the plants under there.

So you're saying not to invest in films and the like

Yeah. It's slightly more than a foot of room for each plant. And considering what I've been able to get from areas around that size on just one plant. I'm actually really looking forward to seeing how much I can get from this run.

I just need to paint up the walls better. Drop some beans. And off I go with the 4th run.

You can get it perfect but it takes time. I replaced the film in my metal cab last spring with white paint. IMHO if you can paint...do it...if not film.
Spend your time and money improving other parts of your grow.
