Hello everyone!
Welcome to my build & grow thread.
I'm getting ready to build light rigs for my 2 spaces; 1 a 4 X 2 ft. flowering space and the other a veg cab of the same dimensions.
Would be great to have folks follow my build and grow. Feel free to chip in with any tips/hints/advice as necessary.

Ordered the following today:
2 x 3000K FB24B's
2 x 5000K FB22B's
1 x HLG-320H-48B
1 x HLG-150H-48A
1 x APV-12-12 (To power 2 x 12V fans for veg cab)
Thermal tape
Red/Black solid core 20AWG cable
100K Linear Mono potentiometer

I have the wood to build the cab so I'm going to make a start whilst I wait for the strips/driver etc to arrive.
I've already received advice from others before this stage so a big thanks to you guys. I won't mention names in case I forget anyone but if you've given me inspiration/advice/help in the past thanks very much!

I'm happy for people to post any relevant information, good/relevant youtube vids or any amusing funnies. Just please do not engage in political conversations - it's bad for the soul! :)

Thanks for stopping in and I look forward to seeing you all again!

:peace: :leaf: (:

Nice wan.
Don't forget to get some reflective material for inside the cabs.
I use the diamond stuff , mostly 1.25m tall. £3 A meter.
Thanks mate. My flowering space is my kitchen pantry which I've used for previous efforts so that's lined with mylar already. The veg cab I have some left over from lining the pantry but it probably isn't enough so I'll give the "diamond stuff" a go. (:

They are working well. I am into reds and blues too now along with uva and far red.
Got confirmation first boards completed second set near completion almost ready for shipping.

Nice one! I'm glad it's all working out as you planned. Your doubters/critics at the beginning of your project need a large dose of humble pie!!

I'm not sure which thickness of aluminium angle I should use for mounting the FB22B & FB24B strips. Can anyone advise me please?
Thanks a lot :)

I think you may need more strips if I'm reading your planning correctly. Your building 2 cabs that are 4' x 2' and only putting in two strips in each?

Yeah, that the4ft. double row strips.
One FB24B has 288 diodes and is rated to ~100w. Max. is well above 150w's! Like a QB288...

Yes that's correct. My thinking is that for veg the plants don't need as much light as for flower. The 2 FB22B's are 4 ft long and have 144 lm561c diodes each (Equivalent to 1 QB288 but will give more uniform coverage and can be lowered very close to the plants.
The FB24B's are the same length but with 288 diodes each, so equivalent to 2 x QB288. I know that 2 x QB288's work well flowering in a 4 x 2 (As tested by ledgardener) so I'm thinking it should be OK. These will also be lowered close to the canopy as I'll be FIM'ing or ScrOG'ing.
I'll be wiring them in parallel so if I need I can add an extra strip. We'll see how it goes!

Thanks for your input/advice....much appreciated!

A good, dull white latex color reflects up to 95% of the light. I doubt that a Mylar film can achieve this reflection, and the infrared protection you do not need anyways with LED's. Certainly cheaper than a few square meters of mylar film plus glue and is also washable.
If you do not need it to seal the room (light/air), I would recommend a good white color with high amount of titanoxyd.

I had some mylar left over so am going to use that. My flower space is already lined with mylar so I'll leave it as it is at the moment. Thanks for the info though....always good to know stuff like this for future builds (:

Is there anything you don't know? Your mind seems to be filled with all sorts of very useful information! Perhaps Saturday's lottery numbers?

I'd rather hang wall paper than gloss though.... lol

I'm currently running 384 samsung diodes and 6 vero 10s in a 18"x18" cab currently cranked up to 165w on day 14 of flower. I would add more and possibly run them softer.

Thanks for that....I'm gonna see how it goes with 1 run and then assess the situation (:
